All the doctors and nurses within the practice are amazing and very helpful. However getting an appointment in the practice is an absolute nightmare.

I was suffering from mild breathlessness and chest discomfort and was able to book an appointment via Patches and was seen the same day at 11 am. ( I had tried to book the previous day at 11am but all slots were booked by then) The doctor was concerned that symptoms could indicate a heart attack and referred me to Northwick Park with a letter ( the junior doctors were on strike). The treatment at Northwick Park Accident and Emergency was superb given their difficulties. As it happened I was OK and didn’t need further treatment but that was only after a battery of tests was carried out and had been reviewed by a consultant. The next day my doctor took the trouble to ring me having reviewed my hospital notes to give further advice. Truly excellent service from everyone involved. The practice tends to limit telephone contact to encourage the use of on line services and keep their reception staff free to deal with patients appearing in person so my comment on telephones really relates to the on line Patches system which operates very well but ultimately it’s capacity is limited by the availability of slots available to speak to or visit the doctors on any given day.

Having been getting sane day appointment since the launch of ‘PATCHS’.it has made life and reaching out to the GP so much easier and hassle free.hats off to the person who implemented this approach.contacting the GP us no more a pain with hours of being on the waiting line.

My experience today was very good. The doctor asked a lot of questions to see what was wrong. I was well examined. The doctors l have encountered at Pinner medical Centre of very friendly and caring. I would recommend the Pinner medical Centre to any of my friends and family in the area.

I went onto Patches at 0825 by 0930 I got a reply saying they had an apt at 1050 , I have nothing by praise for the staff at Reception and all the dr’s I have seen….great service all round

pre covid Pinner medical offered a walk in service and telephone booking service. Since covid I have found the staff extremely unhelpful for appointments than cannot be preplanned weeks in advance on one occasion they refused me an appointment and told me to go to a&e even for a doctors note. I then proceeded to call 111 who made the GP book me an appointment a waste of everyone’s time. having to book an appointment via patches is extremely limited if you don’t log on at 8am on the dot it will say they cannot help you today and to come back tomorrow this has happened to me at 8.05 before. This system needs to be scrapped unless it will be open for the full working hours of the surgery. I struggle to believe appointments are all gone by 8.05 it seems like secretaries just want to keep their admin to a minimal time period per day. Such a shame as previously had a great service before covid.

We are sorry that you are finding it difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor at the Pinn Medical Centre. On average we handle over 4000 calls every week at the surgery. Whilst we do understand how frustrating it must be to get access to your GP you may be interested to know that The Pinn provides 1440 appointments per week which is the number recommended by the BMA for a practice its size. In addition, it provides 627 GP Access Centre appointments per week. It is also unfortunate that every week we have an average of 60 patients who do not attend their appointments – these are appointments that could have been used by another patient. We are sorry that you felt our service did not meet with your expectations. Our intention is only to help patients in the most pleasant and efficient way we can. We have reflected on your comments and have shared your thoughts with our management team.
