    Receptionist rung me back to arrange a blood test which was impressive. Nurse was on time and took blood very easily from me. Nurse was pleasant and helpful

    I have unbearable pain in my knees I hardly can walk, some time knees give in and I fall, tried to make an appointment to see gp to arrange for xrey so I can make appointment with specialist privately as I can not stand the pain any more and can not wait mounts for operation by nhs. I used Patch system as I usually do and get appointment same day, for unknown reason this time I was given appointment in 3 weeks time. I telephoned them and been told you have given appointment there is no appointment before that day.

    I went for a blood test this morning. The phlebotomist called me exactly on time. She was polite, pleasant and professional. She was skilled and the treatment was virtually pain free. What more can anyone expect? Well done, Pinn and well done NHS

  6. Review titled Logging calls with Patches

    There are still issues with raising calls on patches. It is impossible to do so, as I have tried over 3 days. If the practice receptionists are pointing towards using Patches to make requests the system. It is not fit for purpose as I am still unable to get any help from the practice to try to resolve the issue. Will be looking to join another practice now.

    I had to return from the pharmacy to get an emergency prescription. I can't divulge why because it's part of an official complaint. What I can say is that the receptionist said a particular member of staff was in a meeting. So I waited for half an hour and gave up. In a phone call with this same member of staff a short while later, she said she hadn't been in a meeting at all. I'm really annoyed I was lied to. If this is a persistent culture it makes me wonder when I'll be lied to in the future. The doctors are great though.

  8. Review titled Appointment Booking System

    The Patches system which requires you to call or logon at 8am in an attempt to request a GP appointment has caused extreme anxiety for my elderly, widowed mother who wants to see a doctor and is happy to wait a week or 2 if thats what is available . However instead of bookimg online a week or 2 ahead when a slot is available like most other reservation sytems e.g. a table at a restaurant, she has to call at 8am and taker her chances in the queue and might be told all the slots are taken for that day just a few minutes later and to try agaim the following day. This system is stressful for her and fuelled her anxiety levels such that shes often given up trying. This makes me wonder if its designed to minimise people trying but its certainly and extremely non patient friendly sytem. Thankfully I moved from Pinner a few years ago and live in an area where our GP operates a far more practical and normal appointment sytem where you either look online for the next available appointmebt date and time and click on it and secure it ( which can be done anytime of day online ) or you phone the surgery and they tell you whats available. The Pinn patches sytem is so difficult and stressful for the patient in comparison.. My mother is considering paying for a private GP appointment instead or moving GP or worse leaving her medical concern un- investigated. The Pinn may well see many patient as per the response to a similar online complaint I read about patches, thats great but please be clear thats not the issue here, the issue is the booking system has been designed for the service provider, the Pinn's administrative convenience and sadly not the patient trying to access the service. Shame on whoever came up with this system.

  9. Review titled patchs review

    Had mole on back which had grown and was itchy - tried Thursday and Friday via Patchs at 8.00 am prompt and was told it was closed until 10.00 am. Tried at 10.00 am and was told to try next day at 8.00 am. Same thing happened on Friday, so phoned the surgery who said we would have to try patchs again on Monday. Same thing happened Monday and Tuesday. Both my wife and I tried on different tablets - but told patchs was closed. Finally called the surgery Tuesday after Patchs was closed at 8.01 am! I was 17th in the queue. Hung on for 65 minutes! When I got through I was given an appointment on the same day. Why didn t that happen the first time I called the surgery last Friday. A growing itchy mole could be serious - This really was not at all acceptable. Someone should be checking Patchs is actually functioning.

    Having had a blood test at pin centre ,now lost. Told to go nwp for bloods only to be told they don’t do them there for docs. Then repeat prescription not Processed ,one week late with no meds.
