Review titled Appointment system
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 August 2024
I cannot remember the last time I was able to book an appointment with my GP. If you are 1 minute late to call the surgery you will be in no 20 in the queue and by the time you speak to someone either the appointments have all gone or the line is cut off as you have been on the line for too long. They will not give you an appointment for the next day and you would have to call back again. Not sure if this is a NHS or the practice policy.

Dear Patient. Providing enough appointments to see a GP has been an issue nationwide for some time now right across the country. We have tried to address this in many ways, for example employing prescribing pharmacists and locum GP's. We do recognise that demand is high to see GP's on the same day but this is not always possible so we apologise.

Review titled Very Rude inefficient service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Pam - Posted on 12 July 2024
Told reception that Triage nurse wouldn't be able to help. However GP appointment wasn't available for 3 weeks so I was booked in with the Triage nurse. She was extremely Rude. It felt like she was telling me off for being booked with her. Then she wouldn't discuss my blood results with me said I need to book another appointment to have them discussed. Then she accused me of almost lying why another GP would talk to me about my cholesterol levels when I was booked to see him for my toe. She treated me as if I was stupid. Even after this kind of behaviour I still thanked her but still I didn't get any respect from her.

We are sorry to hear about your experience. The nurse should have been more helpful and polite. Would it be possible to contact the Practice and we will look into it please?

Review titled Poor service
Rated 3 stars out of 5

“Patchs” is not available online outside of surgery opening hours. What is the point of having an online service that is not (intended to be spelt in all upper case but that is seemingly N O T allowed!) available when the surgery is closed?!? I had an accident at work last Wednesday where I was taken to a local hospital for an injury to my leg. On Saturday, my leg was getting worse so went to Hillingdon Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre. That evening, at discharge & despite not having any broken bones, I was told that I would be receiving a telephone call from the Fracture clinic. I received that phone call yesterday and was told that as I didn’t have any broken bones I would be discharged from the fracture clinic and I should see my GP for them to check the wound. I was told that there were no appointments available until July 5th(!) for a nurse to examine the (small) wound whilst the bruising is from my foot to my thigh. After stating that next week wasn’t good enough, I was offered an appointment at the hub which would be via telephone. Stating that I also needed my first Med 3, it seemed wrong to have it issued via a telephone call and would it not be right to be examined by a doctor the first time? I was then given an appointment at 1700 today. I have always received (fairly) good service from The Medical Centre over the years, but today was rock bottom. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone. Absolutely awful. The only reason I didn’t give a lower vote was I was trying to be generous. Not happy at all.

Dear Patient. We are sorry that you are not happy with your recent experience at the Practice. PATCHS was introduced by NHS England to triage patients during working hours. The 111 service is for out of hours issues. Re the specific treatment, I note that you did receive an appointment and we have provided more appointments at the Practice over the last couple of months, so hopefully you will see an improvement.

Review titled Incompetent GP service provider - the Green medical
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Elisha Ratra - Posted on 01 June 2024
3 weeks ago, the GP service lost my blood and did not even infirm me when i was waiting for the report. After chasing the report, there was no apology but I was given another blood test appointment at Uxbridge health centre. On Saturday, i drove from West Drayton to uxbridge but i was told the blood test cant be done because my surgery didn’t give me blood form. Its been 30 days nows but still haven’t got a blood test. Very disappointing service. I tried to call the surgery- got a turn after 30 minutes of holding. I could hear the receptionist saying hello twice to which I responded but they disconnected in exactly 3 seconds. The patient needs to wait for 30 minutes but they will disconnect in 3 seconds. Action must be taken to improve the service.

We are sorry that you had a poor experience recently at the Practice. I have looked into your notes and I think it is fair to both parties to explain what happened. It wasn't the Practice that lost your blood result. The lab processes all the blood samples and they may not provide a sample result for various reasons eg there may not be enough blood etc and they just tell us we need to provide another sample. Re the Uxbridge test, you should have been informed that you needed to bring the form so we apologise for that. Finally, the phone call- unfortunately this can happen now and again, so we are sorry. I did see that a receptionist had called you and left a message for the blood test so I hope that you received this and made an appointment. regards, MP. Finance Manager.

Review titled Positive feedback
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Alex - Posted on 17 April 2024
I went for my smear test recently and the lady that saw me was lovely! As loads of us know this test is not so comfortable and people might even put it off because of this. The nurse was nice, friendly, clearly knew what she was doing and made me feel better about being such a baby during the test. I’m not sure if we normally receive a feedback form after an appointment but it would be nice to be able to let her know that I appreciated her work this day.

Review titled Brilliant Doctor
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have been with this GP practice for 10yrs and just had my final appointment with them (due to moving house). I wanted to leave a review to remark on how brilliant one of the doctors here has been in particular. He believed me about a women’s physical health issue I had when other doctors had previously not taken it quite so seriously and once even suggested it might be imagined. With his help I was referred to a brilliant consultant. The Dr gave time to listen, validate and consider the best course of action.

Review titled Worst GP I ever had in last 13 years
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2023
I am a very anxious person and a bit hypercondriac when it comes to health which other gps had acknowledged and showed empathy towards me every time I contacted them. But with this GP it has never been a pleasant experience, either rude doctors or nurses and mostly rude receptionist not showing any empathy towards my worries. Also with this new system of online form you fill up is just ridiculous, after filling the form you recieve a message that someone will contact xxx date and timing 12-6 , it’s like they are busy and I’m free just sitting at home chilling. Even though I requested for face to face consultation but I still being offers telephone consultation and if you miss the call as you maybe working and didn’t get a chance to answer the call , they wouldn’t bother to call you back. And you will have to go through the process all over again which will just make your anxieties even worse. I’m leaving the gp so if you are thinking to sign up I would highly recommend you to look for other gps in the area and definitely do your research. We pay taxes from our hard working earned salaries to get a better service, I know nhs under pressure but it doesn’t mean they start treating people like we don’t matter anymore.

We are sorry that you have been having trouble getting a face to face appointment. We are providing these appointments and they are triaged beforehand. We understand that the online forms are not popular with everyone but the clinician will decide if you then require a face to face.

Review titled Poor experience multiple times
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have an underlying health issue which has been deteriorating. I've been asking to see a GP Face to Face for best part of 8 months. I have had to call NHS 111 for an illness who said I'd need to book an a set of tests via the GP Urgently. After, yet again, not speaking to a GP, instead another member of staff, I've now been put down for non urgent tests which puts me back to waiting for an appointment that will be impossible for me to attend. I asked for help with alternatives and was told I can only be seen Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Having called another surgery in the area they have said that is just not true and I should insist on speaking to the practice manager. Instead my condition has deteriorated further and I've had zero help before the weekend. Many of us have to work and simply can not take time off in the morning. I'm looking for another practice. It's been a very frustrating time, I felt this practice coped so well during the pandemic but now it's just of not practical help to me. A surgery nearby has evening and weekend appointments available and said they would be able to book tests in those times. All would have been solved if my condition had been noted, but I felt the person speaking to me just wanted to box me off as quickly as possible, rather than actually listen to the symptoms fully. Plus the reception was absolutely rude, lacking any empathy and not apologising for an error they had made. How hard is it to say I'm sorry for an error, when someone is unwell and frustrated. It's a great shame as I have huge admiration for the Dr who runs this surgery, her colleagues are not performing at the same level as they once were.

Please can you call reception and ask to speak to the Business Manager and we will find out what has happened. We have had some new members of staff in training so we will also look into this matter.

Review titled Outstanding Appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joanne Kinsey - Posted on 04 January 2023
Ref. Appointments with Dr Jason. Initial appointment was a phone consultation where I felt my needs were listened to and met. I then had a face to face follow up and was treated with utmost respect, listened to, he was current in his understanding and understood my condition. It would be great to see Dr Jason stay at this practice. If felt like care I would receive from our family Dr in my younger days. I absolutely appreciate the level of care I have received. Thank you

I had raised BP and went to meet doctor, who was very knowledgable and took great care. I work for NHS, hence, I understand what great care looks like. Absolutely brilliant.
