After waiting 10 minutes to speak to someone I was met with a very abrupt receptionist / call responder. I was courteous throughout the call but she was quite blunt & came across quite unnecessarily rude. I appreciate staff may be busy but that's no excuse. I'm busy too, had to hold 10 mins to speak to someone & still could be courteous! I can imagine when people aren't feeling there best in the first instance to have to speak to someone like this unfortunately doesn't help. Just remember how you would like to be spoken to & reflect that please. It is possible to be professional, friendly & efficient all at the same time. It will be appreciated & more likely reciprocated. If not take the higher ground & kill with kindness!

The practise didn't have any appointments left for the day. I had rung 111 the night before and they had the ambulance dept ring me and assess me over the phone. They advised on certain things to investigate from the GPS point of view. Although they had no capacity, I was assessed by phone after 111 had sent their assessment to the surgery. Somehow, perhaps a clinician missing a lunch break, they gave me time and assistance to fulfil what was suggested by 111 by email by a telephone appointment. I have been told that they only have one full-time GP and another that works two days a week. There is also a clinician and paramedic who work in the surgery. My appointment was by a clinician. (There are other nurses that I have seen in the surgery, but I don't know if they are employed by the surgery Thankyou to the Meadows. It is not easy when there are so many patients. I have experienced patient, listening staff when ever I have attended the surgery. The surgery is coping with a very large patient base, without enough staff to cover them. I appreciate their hard work and their patient attitude Thank you again.

After falling from his bike and suffering a significant gash to his elbow early in the morning we went straight to the meadows surgery. Whilst initially I was told to go to urgent care I explained that I felt the injury was not that significant but did require cleaning properly to make a proper assessment. Nurse S was a star and came to our aid giving up her own time to help us. She provided outstanding care and even made a follow up appointment for a check up. Thank you.

Telephoned and was 6 in the queue, asked for call back . 5 minutes later had call back , explained problem and was offered appointment with the nurse practitioner within the hour . Arrived 5mins early and was called straight in . Full examination and treatment given with advice given if my problem didn’t improve to go for another appointment. A very professional, empathetic and reassuring experience. I would also like to say that my initial phone call was answered in a polite and respectful manner.

I would just like to say how very friendly, caring, and understanding many of the team at The Meadows Surgery in Thrapston are. Although there are many lovely members of staff at the surgery, I am just writing today about the two I saw today. I had a lovely experience with these two members of staff, so I just wanted to say 'Thank you!' Firstly, I encountered a young blonde lady, on Reception. This young lady is always smiling, polite & friendly no matter the situation, both in person or over the phone. I have even observed her delightful manor with other patrons whilst waiting for my own appointment, even when dealing with agitated clients, she maintains a happy professional manor. She is a real credit to the team and especially as she is 'front of house'. My actual appointment was with another delightful young lady, whom I think is a health care assistant, she often does blood tests etc. This young lady is absolutely delightful. Everytime I have seen her, she is happy, smiling, & conversational and puts me at ease straight away, she answers any questions that may arise and explains things really well. She is very easy to interact with, especially when the reason for the appointment may not be very pleasant. A very professional young lady, who cares about her patients. There are many other very nice team members at the surgery but these are the two I interacted with today. Thank you to both of you for making my visit a pleasant one, its a shame this review will not let me name you.
