I had to visit the surgery for a review by the nurse. As always all the staff I had contact with were brilliant. Always helpful and polite. Great service.

Yesterday I had a problem of my own making, I ran out of my eye drops which are difficult to obtain in short notice One of the receptionist responded to my message I left on the prescription comments. She solved my problem and I really appreciated the fact she went above and beyond her remit. So well done.

I have been so impressed by the care my whole family have received from this GP. Their receptionists are polite, kind and genuinely helpful - you are never fobbed off, you are always spoken to swiftly and requests dealt with efficiently. They often state that something will take a week or two, then significantly beat their own deadlines. The doctors and nursing staff have been kind and supportive with my son’s early vaccinations, they have helped calm parental worries and they have seen us at very short notice when we were panicked about our sick baby. We have always felt reassured and safe in their hands. The doctors are very open about processes and why they are recommending anything - they will state the very low probability of something, then still order tests to be absolutely certain. They are highly reassuring and professional when dealing with more sensitive adult procedures, and contrarily they are playful when dealing with my toddler. I’ve even had a nurse kindly take my energetic son away to play for a few minutes as I was at my appointment with him and unexpectedly needed an intimate procedure, for which a toddler’s presence was less than optimal. I have been so happy with their care for my son and myself, that I have now insisted my husband move over to their service as well; having only been in their care for two days, they have already proven to be more polite, helpful and generally better than his prior surgery ever was. We could not recommend this practice more highly.

Tried to order my repeat prescription via their online service. Said they needed to review the medication before they could re-issue. I then applied for an appointment for this review. 2 days later nothing so I rang the practice and was told I need to fill in another online form. They sent this form which I filled in. 2 days later nothing. Consequently I have now run out of my medication and the practice is closed. This is the second time this has happened in the last 10 months. Terrible service and I am looking for an alternative medical practice to use.

Appointments are extremely difficult to make. Also, when I requested a letter from them stating my family and I are registered with them as proof of address for paperwork reasons, they first refused to do so. Then they said it would take a minimum of 28 days plus £££. I need the letter now and requested 10 days before now but they still stated it'd take them 28 days! Really can't understand why a simple letter will take a minimum of 28 days!!!

Tried to get an appointment for an infection for 4 days in a row last week, I emailed first and was ignored, always called in the morning, always told no appointments despite explaining the potentially very serious implications for myself. Promised a call back the following Monday which was not done. Don't make the mistake of registering here if you have a serious illness.

My constant experience of this surgery and everyone I know who uses it is frustration at not being able to phone, forms being closed by 9am. Reception staff that seem to work in slow motion and take an hour to answer a simple question. How can a phone system be full so you're cut off, when in 4 hours I can't even get in the line on the phone. Only ever have I got anything done here by complaining or having a higher authority push them to do something. They don't call people with results from tests and ten minutes watching reception you'll see people come in asking where are my results over and over. Terrible. Saving grace is maybe 2 good Doctors and a few other medical professionals. 3/10

Seems almost impossible to make an appointment through the internet or on the phone the staff themselves are very friendly and helpful but there seems to be a major problem with the Tech

Lionwood is excellently managed and goes "the extra mile" The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, reassuring, compassionate and provide excellent care throughout the practice. I would like to express my gratitude to the clinical pharmacist who listened to my concerns patiently and attentively and offered me knowledgeable advice that was greatly appreciated.
