  1. Review titled Great practice, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Saima A Ali - Posted on 20 October 2022

Have been registered with this practice since 2019. Every experience I have with the practice is always good Dr's are attentive and always look for the best outcome for my medical needs. They go above and beyond referring me to all the nessasary specialists to get to the route of the problem. I'm very happy with my choice in gp.

  2. Review titled Fabulous service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Initially a little difficult to get through on the phone lines but when I did, the lady on the phone was kind and understanding and when I had to call back the next day another lady was also very kind and made sure I had a female practitioner to help me. Today is saw the nurse practitioner who took her time and gave me great advise on how to deal with my menopause. I haven’t seen a dr or nurse (apart from a smear) in years and wasn’t looking forward to it. However the kindness and calmness (and the humour) with which she treated me was fab and made me very comfortable to get in touch again in case I need it. I know you guys are all swamped and I so wish you had more time with everyone and more nurses and doctors to help! Very pleased with the Limes. Thank you all.

  3. Review titled Appalling reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 October 2022

Called up to request a same day call with a doctor to be asked why, I explained I had ran out of medication, beta blockers, anxiety and diazepam. I was then belittled by the receptionist to be told the appointments are for emergencies only to stop people going to a&e. Not the first time the receptionists here have forgotten common manners and etiquette when speaking to people. Making people feel like there issues are less important when they are on medication for mental health, simply unbelievable that the practise allow this kind of behaviour and attitude.

Dear patient, our reception team are trained to ask “can you give me a brief idea of the problem” in order to direct you to the most appropriate clinical or non-clinical team member to help with the issue. I am sorry that you felt that the receptionist was not polite and I am sure that she/he did not intend to make you feel that your issues are “less important.” Most medication issues can be dealt with in advance, especially for on-going prescriptions, and generally by our clinical pharmacists. I can assure you that all patients are important to us – regardless of their clinical need. Please feel free to call me on 01992 566555 if I can be of assistance. Debbie Bodhanya Managing Partner

  4. Review titled Great news

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by David Ashley - Posted on 21 October 2022

For patients around the country there has been a lot of stress involved in calling the surgery for appointments, or just to speak to the receptionists. This could involve sitting on the phone for 30+ mins sometimes. Now if you call and the lines are busy, you can choose to be called back, with your place in the queue held. It's a marvelous reduction of stress

  5. Review titled Can't fault the service received from this caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JPT - Posted on 01 November 2022

I recently required to be checked for chest pain symptoms and was seen by a doctor the same day I rang and thorough checks done including blood tests and ECG. I received excellent service from a very friendly and caring GP and could not have felt in better hands. I received texts about appointments and was telephoned by the doctor the day after blood tests were done to give me the results which was very reassuring. The doctor took the time to explain everything and recommended follow up tests to be on the safe side. GPs and local surgeries take a lot of stick, particularly since things have changed after Covid, and I feel this is very unfair. They are all doing their best with sparse resources and staff and I for one could not be happier with the service I receive from The Limes. As others have said, the facility to request a call back when hanging on in a queue to make an appointment is very helpful. The practice seem to be actively seeking out ways to improve things for patients, and the increased use of online systems and using texts to keep patients informed is very welcome. I would comment that there do appear to be quite a few systems to keep on top of - that may overlap and confuse folk - including System Online, NHS App, NHS Covid App, SwiftqueueU and the Princess Alexandra Hospital website for booking blood tests. It would also help if the latter two could flag up that you need a blood test paper form if you want to book for Waltham Abbey or Ongar, as they are not in the computer system. Conversely currently the Swiftqueue email confirmations advise it is essential you take your blood form with you to St Margaret's which is incorrect. A couple of tweaks needed there to save folk getting things wrong. Grateful thanks to all the staff at The Limes Medical Practice.

Thank you – that’s great feedback and helpful too. We agree that the software can be confusing and we are starting to run some small lunchtime IT sessions to help with the technology. If they are popular, we will expand them and also try to add more information onto our website about the various apps/processes. Debbie Bodhanya Managing Partner

Limes staff made it very easy to book my daughter in for her 16 week jabs. We were seen on time and it was all done swiftly.
