Review titled Thank You
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Ian L - Posted on 27 July 2024
I attended the surgery with my elderley and clearly unwell mother, I had no expectations beyond maybe a nurse appt a few days hence. The receptionist - went above and beyond and scheduled an appt with an ANP within the hour. The ANP was brilliant with mum, informative and re-assuring but above all, kind. She identified the problem and a solution as a result of on-site testing. She also found the time to discuss another issue that highlighted itself at the consultation and had been previously undiagnosed. Heartfelt thanks to both ladies, you do a sterling job and are a credit to the Practice

Review titled Worst Medical Centre

I find them extremely unhelpful especially the receptionists. You can barely can past them to speak to a doctor or get an appointment and when they do all you get is a phone call from pharmacist when then has to go to the doctor regarding your mental health. They say will ringing you back but never do so you are constantly ringing them up. And then getting told to buy your medication online for the contraceptive pill,

Review titled Appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I can’t make a routine appt- the phone system means you’re always in a queue when you phone. When you finally speak to someone you’re advised there’s no urgent or bookable appts available. Tried several times. Advised to complete an econsult form- that appears to not be available either. 6 days since initial contact to make an appt I still don’t have one. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get a routine appt. This is why people end up with chronic problems or presenting to A&E with non urgent matters because they can’t get an appt with their GP

Review titled Great recommended services
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 June 2024
Emma recommended a variety of local and nhs services to help with my mental health but most of all she listened and I felt heard rather than “fobbed off” for want of a better term. She made an action plan with me and a follow up appointment so we could check on my progress. Thank you Emma

Excellent service I have received over time from receptionist to doctors, nurses, and the advanced nurse practitioner I've recently seen who was very thorough and caring. Keep up the good work.

Review titled Appointment cancelled, not notified
Rated 1 star out of 5

Today I took my disabled child out of school to attend an appt at Kiltearn with a GP. I have waited 2 whole months for this appt having made it via the econsult system because I could not make non-emergency appts for my child over the phone, no matter how early in the day I rang. We arrived for the appt only to be told it had been cancelled due to GP illness and remade for 11am this morning. Now, not having a time machine or being a mind reader we didn't get to that appt. The receptionist made a new appt for 3 weeks' time. Why is it so hard to get appointments for a disabled child? She should be a priority. If we could change surgeries, we would. They are seriously underserving this community and the practice is unrecognisable to how it was when we moved here 14 years ago.

Review titled Great practice

Needed to see my GP so rang at 8am and found I was number 2 in queue. Which was a nice surprise. The receptionist was lovely and helpful and I was offered an appointment on the same day with my GP. My appointment was on time and as usual I was sorted by my GP who as always is caring, helpful and very understanding. I cannot fault the service that was provided to me.
