    Great experience today at my GP Surgery. Went in for an IUD procedure (ie Mirena) and was well looked after all through the process. This made it less traumatic than I had anticipated. Thank you

    Discharged from hospital and required ongoing treatment for an open leg wound. I can't complain about the hospital treatment room but when I started attending the GP surgery the attention to detail was remarkable. After several weeks I was referred to the health port to test the pulse in my foot. The initial appointment was good and the nurse wanted me to attend on alternate days but reception couldn't fit me in. I therefore continued attending the surgery with intermittent attendance at the health port. Perhaps it would be a good idea to increase the level of support in the treatment room at the surgery because in my opinion the staff are far more concerned about patient care

We really do appreciate the review and it is always good to receive such positive feedback regarding the care and services we offer. I have shared your review with the whole team as reviews like this mean a great deal to us. Unfortunately, we are not complex wound specialists, and the commissioned treatment service locally is the correct place for you to be reviewed. The practice only provide some treatment room services in an attempt to assist and reduce the wait for patients for procedures such as ear syringing, wound care. Any wounds outside of the teams scope of practice are always referred to the local treatment room. As a practice we always strive to deliver patient centred care.   4. Review titled Amazing nurse at my practice

    badly cut my shin and had been seen by the hospital. I had non disposable stitches and strip strips to try and close the gaping wound. After a visit to dressing clinic I had been very worried and unable to sleep trying to decide when I needed to go back to clinic for the stitches out. I had an appointment for my flu vaccine at my doctors and the nurse asked what I had done to my leg as she saw me limping and with a stick.I just broke down and told her I didn’t know what I should be doing about the stitches etc and couldn’t sleep for worrying about it. She was amazing and told me I could come to her for my dressings and she would decided what needed to be done. She booked my in to see her 4 days later and after cleaning it and seeing how deep it was she brought a doctor in to see and advise. I have been seen by that amazing nurse each time and my leg is still slow to mend. However it has not got infected and looks clean. She has been a lifesaver, she is is exceptionally professional, friendly and caring, a nurse in a million and thank you so much xx

    I moved to The Healthcare Centre roughly 8 years ago when I moved to Fulwood, since then every visit is quick and easy with great, friendly and knowledgeable doctors who are always happy to help. I would definitely recommend.

  8. Review titled Can't access online medical request

    I am a young person who has been attempting to get an appointment at my GP for a month. The GP had a reform of the appointment system, where online requests were introduced which is good in theory, however it is always closed and I am unable to make a request. I feel my symptoms are not severe enough to ring the practice and I am just really frustrated with the lack of attention to reducing my access to healthcare. My health has deteriorated over the last month and I keep holding out for the medical request to be available, however it never is. I understand the pressure that GP's are under at the minute, but reform here definitely needs to happen.

    Apologies for the late response, we did not receive a notification about this feedback. The online requests is for administration requests only leaving the telephone lines free for medical requests. Online access is new to the practice and we need to time to monitor the volume of requests we receive via this method and we need to ensure we have the clinical capacity to deal with the requests safely and appropriately. Please contact the practice or book online and make a routine appointment if you feel your symptoms are not severe enough to call on the day for an urgent same day appointment. Thank you for the feedback.

    Rang this morning at 8am as per policy for on the day appointment Got told will receive a call back Nearly an hour later get a call to say no appointments available for today and no one to callback. No physical appointments for tomorrow either can only give me a telephone appointment. Why is the GP practice even available if they cannot see patients that need to be seen. Iv been to th pharmacist tried everything over counter and got told to contact GP yet here I am unable to see one!!!! No form of care or understanding just a measly well if you want to be seen today ring 111. Absolutely gobsmacked by the service!

    Thank you for taking the time to leave an anonymous review regarding The Healthcare Centre of which we acknowledge receipt. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with our appointment system. Unfortunately, we have had a doctor call in sick today and therefore this has impacted on the amount of on the day appointments we have available. We can only presume from your review that you were on the appointment list of the doctor who called in sick at approximately 8:50am this morning. This does have an impact on our weekly schedule until we either source cover or are aware of the doctors return to work date. We do have a range of appointments available pre-bookable, face to face, telephone but if you have stated that you need to be seen that day, and our Doctors are full to capacity the correct advice is for you to call NHS 111 as they triage you for clinical urgency. We are unable to compromise patient safety and continue to add to our Doctors lists for the day once we are at capacity. We are currently working very hard to improve access and try to ensure that urgent appointments are not being used for non-urgent matters. If you wish to discuss this matter further or offer any improvement suggestions, please contact our Office Manager to discuss this further. Thank you once again for your review.     I called on Friday morning for an appointment with a GP and was told they were booked up, I need to try again on Monday. I expect if I call back on Monday, the same thing could happen again and they'll be booked up. I explained it was fairly urgent and couldn't wait until Monday so was told to call 111. Very poor service
