    I put my monthly prescription into the practice 8 days ago and still not received it. Rang the practice and they said it was sent to the chemist yesterday. Rang the chemist and they said it wasn't received in opening times so still not processed and won't be until tomorrow. So I've had no pills for the last 3 days. How does it take so long for the practice to send it through to the chemist in the first place ? Hope I don't have an heart attack through not having my prescription while waiting for it. This is not the first time this has happened.

    Dear patient I am sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Practice and your issues obtaining your medication. This is certainly not the experience I would expect for our patients. We aim to complete all prescription requests within 24 hours, but some medications might require further discussions or tests before we can safely issue them. I would expect our team keep patients informed when this is the case and I am sorry if that has not happened on this occasion.     When I needed help, I was supported the best they could. Unfortunately there was no duty gp until 10am and I had to wait more than a few days for a sick note to be issued. Need more staff I think.

    I had to go through a system called patches to get appointment, I asked for face to face appointment, I got a text message. I’ve had no communication from them about my test results and I’m still suffering with feeling unwell. Since Covid things with GP surgery’s has become a joke.

    I asked for sleeping tablets, was told no wasnt given an appointment or anything left me with no choice but the take some of my friends, it was clear that my notes where not read considering what i have been through the past couple of years all i needed was a good night sleep which i have now had to get me back on track.. all i was given was a patrionising link about mental health.. again clearly not ready my notes

    Dear Jan I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience. Our prescribers have a responsibility to treat you with medication they feel will help. However, not all prescribers feel sleeping tablets are an effective solution to often underlying problems.     I asked to see a doctor and waited 3 weeks but found I was booked with a nurse practitioner which was not what I expected. I found the Patches system very unhelpful too. I don't understand why I can only raise 1 illness if I need advice about 2, especially when there's plenty of the allocated time left. I also wonder why every visit just means another referral elsewhere.

    Dear patient Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience, and I am sorry you were not booked in with the expected clinician. We aim to help patients see their preferred clinician, but sometimes being seen sooner takes priority. Our clinicians are able to hear a list of issues, but we do ask patients to come to the appointment prepared to discuss the most important issue. Often symptoms are linked to a primary problem and can be treated simultaneously. However, if problems are not related, the clinicians would find it extemely difficult to safely consult on multiple problems in a single appoitment, thus, further appointments must be arranged. I am pleased to learn the clinician has referred you to secondary care. This is an important process in diagnosing and treating more complex conditions, that are outside the remit of General Practice. Kind regards DS

    Helpful staff in a big very busy surgery. Seen nearly on time by a clearly overworked phlebotomist. She was very good.

    Husband was arranging appointment and the call staff gave him medical advice instead. They were clearly not medically qualified and it made his symptoms alot worse. He then got private healthcare. These ladies are not medically qualified. They should give appointments rather than offering incorrect advise which can be very dangerous.

    Not seen a GP for some time but have had prescription after telephone conversations and blood tests. The service is not perfect by any means. Repeat prescriptions are taking a week or so to materialise but when you know by this, you allow yourself enough time to cater for this delay. The blood appointments have been perfect - on time and in and out. Getting though to reception can be a real pain at times. I have been number 21 in the queue on occasions so I avoid ringing and sending messages instead which seems to work. Staff are very friendly and competent. So, whilst not perfect, the service in general seems to work pretty well and certainly meets my needs.

    I was asked to see Practice Nurse to check my BP. Got a quick appointment and as my BP was raised I was asked to submit a weeks readings. All done now waiting for further cintact
