  1. Review titled Terrible experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Unless you get particular GPs, you can forget about being treat well. Struggling to walk or even stand up straight with pain due to a temporary muscular problem, the outcome of my appointment was to do exercises and continue going to work. I explained my job is physically demanding and I must do a lot of moving and handling with vulnerable people who have no control of their body. The GP took this into no consideration and simply said ‘it’s up to you’. Very unprofessional and putting both myself and my clients at risk!!! I originally put in an econsult asking if I could have a stronger pain relief as ones I had tried had not been working for 3 days. The outcome of that… take paracetamol only what I had already been doing? Calling me in for an appointment for this was an absolute waste of time and caused me discomfort for no reason!

  2. Review titled pharmacist and cholesterol

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Janet - Posted on 03 September 2024

a pharmacist called me and told me my cholesterol was high. they didn’t tell me how high, what the ranges were or why having high cholesterol was a problem all of a sudden. I felt like I was being forced to go on another tablet and didn’t feel like my concerns about using too many medicines were listened to. When I tried to call back to get my results I was told by a receptionist who didn’t tell me her name I couldn’t be given this information over the phone. I asked for it in writing. I was told this information couldn’t be mailed to me. I asked if I could book a telephone appointment. I was told there were none available. I was told I could register for online services. This isn’t possible for me as I need help with anything on the computer but the receptionist didn’t care about that. I felt like nobody from the practice cared about my feelings about using medicines or computers. I feel let down. I explained to the receptionist I wasn’t going to start the medicine and could she tell the pharmacist. She said she could add a note, took my name and date of birth then hung up.

Hard to get an appointment. They don't take your health seriously and will advise you to book for an e-consultation whatever the issue is.

Thank you for your feedback. I have responded to your comment once already but for some reason it has not been published as yet. I am sorry you found it difficult to get an appointment on this occasion. Whilst there is always room for improvement, in the recent national patient survey, the practice was third in Middlesbrough for providing an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Moreover, we have employed an additional doctor since your comment which can only help with getting an appointment. I can assure you that we take our patient's health very seriously and the use of e-consults is an excellent way of getting a clinician to prioritise which patients' needs are the highest priority. Some practices use e-consults for all appointment booking and practices are being encouraged to use such tools all the more. I would encourage you to give the system a go - it is the best way now of getting a pre-booked appointment. If you have difficulty using the technology, please highlight this to the receptionist. Many thanks. Steve Donlan Management Partner

  4. Review titled General Lack of Care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ndukwe Onyema - Posted on 25 January 2024

Had to blood test scheduled by the Hospital for my GP, took me about a week to get an appointment to have my sample collected. It's been nearly 3 weeks, So about a month in total after my blood test and I'm yet to receive my results. I've physically been to the clinic a few days ago to check, they couldn't find the results, mentioned they would ring me later that day, this did not happen. I understand the NHS is overwhelmed and have to process a lot of people, but this is my second GP and it's been a sore experience. There just seems to be a general lack of care for patients.

  5. Review titled Terrible attitude & service

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Paul M - Posted on 29 November 2022

The Endeavour Practice is harder to get in to than Fort Knox. The reception staff simply do not care. If you can not ring them at 8 a.m. they are not interested in anything you have to say. They insist on you ringing back the next morning at 8 or you have to go online to have an E-Consultation. What are people who work mornings or who have children to attend to supposed to do? Their terrible, do not care attitude is disgraceful for people who work in the care service industry. The one time I have actually been able to have a face to face consultation with a doctor they were professional, polite & helpful. Everything their reception staff are not.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you are clearly frustrated with our service. We are experiencing extremely high levels of demand at the moment. The reception staff were correct to suggest an e-consult as an alternative way of accessing our services. This can be done at any time of day or night and hence is well-suited to workers or those who have the school run. If you click on the banner on our website, it will take you through the process. We will then review your issue and ring you back by the end of the next working day. If you have requested an appointment, we will tell you when that will be. Please try this out if you can. Thanks again for your feedback and again I apologise for your frustration. I hope you find that the e-consult route works for you.
