    I have been with Drayton Surgery for more than thirty years and have always had excellent 'Service with a Smile'. With the comparatively recent closure of the facility in the Health Centre at Cosham, Drayton Surgery has had to take on more patients from there, plus people from the new housing estate on the 40 acre site in Bedhampton. This has, I imagine, put more pressure on staff at all levels, meaning that there can be delays in seeing someone for less urgent problems. The second surgery in Cosham is a great help to relieve pressure, but for those, like myself, who are not car drivers, it is not the best place to visit in wet weather - and we have had plenty of that!! All in all, I think that the staff do an excellent job under very trying conditions.

    The appointment was at Wooton St with a practitioner? nurse and was made for me by my wife as we both had similar symptoms that of a continuous hacking deep rooted chesty cough . The nurse thoroughly examined my chest and back with a stethoscope and concluded that a virus was the cause of the problem,that there was no infection and no need to prescribe anything which in my layman’s opinion was the correct conclusion

    The Drayton surgery is really exceptional, the team will always respond within the given time frame, from e consult. I am even contacted within the same today. I feel very lucky to be a registered patient. Thank you for your hard work and outstanding services.

    Concerned that I was back in atrial fibrillation I called the surgery. The reception was efficient, listened and advised that I would be called back. GP called within an hour, discussed my symptoms and arranged an ECG late that same afternoon. Nurse Specialist was very thorough, reassured me and sent ECG to QA Cardiology. Another GP subsequently phoned me within 36 hours to tell me all fine and that I had not gone back into AF. Four staff (admin, nurse, 2 GPs) all highly professional, patient focused and caring. We are so lucky to have such an excellent practice.

    After doing an econsult I got an appointment within two days. Although I had no met the Dr before she was nice and reassuring. Booked me ongoing treatment very quickly. Very good experience all round

    The visit was for an ecg which was good. I was then told to wait so the doctor could look at the results. After around fifteen minutes the nurse came out and told me they were having problems downloading the results so the doctor would contact me. That was nearly a month ago now and I've not heard anything. I know i need more tests done on my heart. I find this very frustrating and disappointing that nobody has contacted me.

    I was very pleasantly received, and given an ECG. Nurse practitioner asked me if I was due a blood test. I told her I was booked for one in 4 days time. She offered to do it then, and cancelled my upcoming appointment.

    Had an emergency with my son around 5pm on a Monday. Fully expected to need to go to the walk in centre, but had a fast call back from the GP who asked us to vibe down straight away. The GP was respectful of my son’s confidentiality, but balanced that well with him having given consent to talk to me. He explained the procedure to my son, minimised his embarrassment, and sorted his problem. We couldn’t have had a better service.
