  1. Review titled Pathetic service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am new to the area and have registered with them 3 months back. I was never able to reach out to them for appointments or anything. I also have a 1 year old baby for whom things can go urgent. They never pick up phone or disconnects and I have waited for hours and hours before I hang up the call but never got an appointment. There is just once when I got an appointment for 4 days later and when I reached at that time, they said there is no appointment booked for me. I had gone alone with baby walking for 35 minutes and this was the response even after taking prior appointment. Pathetic service.

  2. Review titled Awful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have moved homes and registered with this practice back at the beginning of 2023, only to find that every time I try to call to make an appointment I am told that I am not registered with them! This has happened to me 4 times now in the past year, I am 8.5 months pregnant and have been going back and forth with them on this since I changed practice, this is unacceptable especially in my current condition. My maternity recorder were sent to the practice and yet again they were rejected as I am apparently not registered, however I had a telephone consultation with a GP from that practice maternity related 2 months ago!

After 8am eg 11am if you have to call the GP for whatever reason their line is busy and gets disconnected. Been calling them for more than 2 hours unfortunately line busy. Do they keep their phones up so they don't have to answer calls?

  4. Review titled Great doctors, but the most appalling telephone service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 April 2023

Everything the other reviewers has posted is correct. You cannot make an appointment to see a doctor on future date. You can only call at 8.00am or 3.00pm for same day. With everyone trying to call at exactly 8.00 it is almost impossible to get through, so you sit on your phone doing re-dial after re-dial knowing full well that there are lots of other people doing the same thing. Today I got through after about 10 re-tries, and was then "2nd in the queue" for over 10 minutes. More often that not the staff appear to have no training or no concern about being professional and courteous on the phone. It's been like this for years. Today as a case in point they answered the phone "Hello". I gave my name when they asked for it, and the response was "and how am I to identify you without knowing your date of birth?". We are a family of 4 so have had many interactions with Circle Practice over 15 years. The doctors, with one exception, have been good and in some cases truly outstanding. The counter service, depending on who you meet, can often come across as sullen and uncaring. But the worst thing about the practice is the telephone service and this ridiculous system whereby you cannot schedule an appointment for specific date/time but force all your customers to call you at exactly the same time to compete for a limited number of same day slots.

  5. Review titled No appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

To get seen by a doctor you have to call at 8am for a morning appointment and is there are no slots you have to call at 3 pm for afternoon appointments. There are never any slots available and the stress it causes to want to see a doctor at the circle practice. I'm full time working and you have to dedicate a month to keep calling morning and afternoon to find a slot for a doctor. This is not on and is not helpful for those who need to be seen to urgently. It is really upsetting as I hardly need to see a doctor and when I do, I just can't get an appointment. Other clinics have online consultation or you can book online and have a stress free service. Im going to have a child very soon and this is not the stress you need when you need a doc if the child is unwell ect. I am going to move doc surgery as this place is ignorant and does not care about its patients. Covid is over now so why are things not going back to normal. Why can't patient pre book appointments. We pay our tax and not getting the service we require. I'm so frustrated with this practice and system . And things are not changing!

  6. Review titled Dreadful

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have not seen a Doctor, since before COVID, tried ringing today, constantly engaged for 25 minutes, asked receptionist for appointment for a lady doctor in January, got the appointment, but it’s a telephone call, the Doctor when speaking to me in January, will advise me if I need to go to the Surgery, what a joke, no wonder the NHS is so bad. Why does the receptionist want to know what’s wrong with you?

  7. Review titled Administratively abysmal

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been an adult user of NHS services for 38 years, so I have been registered during that time with a wide range of different GP. In terms of administrative and patient service competence, thgis practice is the worst I have ever encountered, by a very long way indeed. Today I was waiting for 32 minutes on the phone before anyone even answered. The minimum phone waiting time I have ever known is 9 minutes. They get prescriptions wrong, and it's a nightmare getting through to the right people to speak to, to rectify this. When you finally get the care, it's excellent, but it's such a nightmarish struggle to get to that point, that seems somewhat academic. These service levels are simply completely unacceptable.
