  1. Review titled Fantastic Doctors

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2023

Been under the doctors at The Broadway Surgery for the last few months & can’t thank the doctors enough for all their help & advice that has got me back on my feet again. They’re working under so much pressure but still treat people with great understanding & care. I would like to say a massive thank you to them all.

Thank you so much we always appreciate positive feedback. I will of course share with the practice at our next meeting. The expressed views of patients are especially good for the practice morale as we are so very busy. Many thanks

  2. Review titled Excellent service by receptionist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 January 2023

Though it is difficult to get a Gp appointment all most in every surgery. But I must say the service and polite behaviour but the receptionists are amazing. I know how much pressure they are for whole day but still they are helping the patients with big smile. I am very thankful to them. Specially the new receptionist. He is very keen to help and try out to find another way to solve the problem. He managed to get my blood result for which I was waiting for long. And he did forward the result to Gp to have a look and finally sorted my problem. Thank you very much

  3. Review titled Always a wait

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 January 2024

Being waiting to have a prescription written by the doctor for nearly two weeks,I have rang every day to ask about it and all I get told is it will get done. I had to go private in the end for my medical condition as I told there was a year wait as the doctor had told me it was urgent and now I have been told I need surgery to correct my condition. I have found this very disappointing that I can't even get a prescription done within a day or so when they promised me.

Thank you for your feedback, however as anonymous I cannot track or investigate to assist. I would say I hope there was a reason for the delay as our longest time to turn prescription requests round is 72 hours. Practice manager

  4. Review titled Good, once one is past some of the reception staff.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Ray - Posted on 05 November 2022

Take care when collecting repeat prescriptions that each item properly requested is included and no additional or spurious items have been included, i.e.medicines that had never been prescribed . Also somebody is over keen to send prescriptions out to local chemists for dispensing, a choice of 3, at random, despite having a standing request to hold them for collection.

Good Evening Sir, Thank you for your positive comments. There are some points to answer with an explanation. Clinical staff oversee the reissue of repeat prescription requests and due to medicine management only a certain number are allowed before a higher level oversees and allows another amount of issues. This is for patient safety there may be a time limit on certain medications in which case our PCN pharmacist would contact the patient to discuss. Regarding collection of prescriptions from local pharmacy this is a directive from NHS England which we are obliged to do to be compliant. The patient will always have the choice the receptionist just needs to be informed of any personal choices so we can organise. I hope this is helpful please let me know if I can help with anything else. Regards

  5. Review titled Receptionists very helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Judith Hopkinson - Posted on 11 November 2022

I was waiting for blood test results being returned from the hospital. The reception staff were really helpful. Listened to my reasons why I needed them. Chased up the results. Telephoned me to say that they had them and printed them off for me. All this was done with a smile and empathy. There seems a different atmosphere in the reception office. I am impressed.

  6. Review titled Poor infection control standards

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 October 2022

Shocked by how little regard the practice nurse has for infection control standards. Incase you didn’t know, nurses should be bare below the elbow, follow hand hygiene rules and prepare medications in a clean area, preferably in a clean tray, not straight on a dirty desk next to a keyboard. Or to go from touching a keyboard to touching a baby without cleaning hands. Stay clear of this place if you value your health and that of vulnerable babies
