Called and was 9th in queue, was offered the opportunity to receive a call back so I took it. Cal was returned within 10 mins and I was given an appointment. Brilliant service.

I had a telephone consultation today. The GP was very patient and understanding. Great service, came away from the appointment feeling I was listened to and understood. Received advice in a manner I would understand. Gave me confidence in myself, I would be able to manage

Review titled Unable to get follow up blood tests
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Michael Elliott - Posted on 20 June 2024
After being discharged from hospital with raised platelets I was advised I needed repeat blood tests owing to risk of blood clots. This was also reiterated in the discharge letter sent to the surgery. I have been unable to book a blood test as I am told the duty GP needs to authorise the blood forms. I have telephoned twice and been told it would be dealt with by the end of the day, it hasn’t. I have visited the surgery in person and met with a rude receptionist and been told it will be dealt with by the end of the day but if I’m really concerned to attend Accident and Emergency. This isn’t what Accident and Emergency is for follow up blood tests are the surgery’s responsibility. Obviously when a blood clot forms I will attend A&E but this can be avoid if I was given a blood test. I am taking this further with CQC as there is no duty of care from this surgery.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to speak with myself today and for you feedback. As mentioned in our discussion feedback is valuable when we are training new staff and I will ensure that this is discussed with our new team members. I hope that our conversation also provided assurance that with our daily phlebotomy sessions we were able to book an appointment on the date and time of your choosing in line with your hospital letter and we look forwards to seeing you for this in the coming weeks. kind regards Linda Smith Practice Manager

Review titled Very poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 May 2024
I received extremely poor service from this surgery. I have been very unwell today and so requested an urgent appointment, but a Doctor refused me of an urgent appointment. She told the receptionist that my condition was not acute enough to get an appointment without even bothering to look at my record. Being a doctor I was fully aware of what I needed and what I have previously been advised for by the specialist team for the condition that I have. I have been a patient at the surgery for over 10 years and recently have become very dissatisfied by their service. Also, it has become nearly impossible to get an appointment, even when you are very unwell. I wouldn’t recommend this surgery.

Review titled Utterly Pointless
Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice is completely useless. After an hour and 15 mins trying to get through, we were told there were no appointments available for a young child who has been throwing up and had diarrhoea for the past 5 days. That is apparently not urgent or worth an appointment. You cannot book appointments online (they disabled that section of the system during covid lockdowns) and the wait time of pre-booked appointments (usually at least a month) would be so long as to be useless.

Review titled No compassion or care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Lucy - Posted on 26 February 2024
Gave birth a few weeks ago which was a very traumatic experience with me loosing a lot of blood and becoming very unwell. Had repeat blood tests at the surgery which I’ve had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment to discuss the results. The results are clearly bad and abnormal which I can see on the nhs app and I’m still unwell. Had a text saying they have tried to contact me. No missed calls on my phone. Rang today to see why and the receptionist was so rude and basically said there is nothing she can do to help me. Asked for a face to face appointment instead and got told she ‘can’t book those’. Even though they have a duty of care and my life could still be at risk with how bad my blood results were. I clearly need to see a doctor and be given some sort of treatment. I have rang at 8am for the last 3 days to be told no appointments left and it’s not urgent. No compassion as I am a single parent with a 4 week old baby. The CQC need to have a look at this practice asap.
