Review titled Avoid at all costs, especially if pregnant
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 October 2024
This practice has refused to prescribe medication that was legally prescribed by a hospital consultant. The receptionist was then extremely rude and unhelpful while trying to resolve this.

Review titled Disgusting Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Doctor was very dismissive of genuine health concerns and refused to investigate further despite ongoing symptoms. Tell you they’ve done the basic tests, such as a blood test, which you have to push for, then hand in the towel when this is normal. Leave you suffering and in pain with no interest in getting to the bottom of your problem if it’s not blatantly obvious. I thought this could be just one doctor but I have seen multiple and all are the same. Extremely lazy and lacking any empathy. My last visit was in the hope I’d see a doctor who was actually good at their profession but I was mistaken. This doctor spoke down to me as a young vulnerable woman and failed to take any action to get to the root of my symptoms.

Review titled Struggles with appointment availability
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Unhappy - Posted on 06 June 2024
I find the appointment system is very unsatisfactory and does not give adequate care when needed, when contacting to make an appointment I have to struggle to achieve one and told to phone after 12 for an appointment which is for 2 weeks later only to find that when I phoned dead on 12 they have all gone and none available! Not all medical issues are classed as urgent but still need to be sorted in a more efficient manor for the well being of the patient

Review titled Brilliant GPs
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I contacted the surgery feeling anxious about having a fever during a very early stage of pregnancy. I took a call back from a Dr later in the morning and was invited to come down in person to have some observations taken. I couldn’t make a morning appointment due to a work commitment but the Dr was flexible and said I could attend in the afternoon. When I did, I had a really wonderful appointment with one of the GPs; she took my oxygen levels, blood pressure and temperature and talked through the symptoms I’d been experiencing. She was really warm, kind and supportive - and incredibly patient with all my worries and questions. We talked through the next steps in terms of my referral to maternity services and she gave me some really helpful advice in terms of looking after myself at this early stage. I felt incredibly reassured, safe and supported by her. Hugely grateful to have this practice and Drs like this one round the corner. Thank you - we are so lucky to have the NHS!

Review titled Avoid

Had more than a few bad experiences lately. Child1 gets an appointment and end up seeing another doctor as another patient has gone into what should have been your appointment. How the doctor didn’t realise this mistake I don’t know? Child2 gets sent to pharmacy by a receptionist. Pharmacy send us back to doctor with an infection. Receptionist then try’s to book another pharmacy. Pharmacy can’t deal with the infection child2 has. End up with an appointment but only after having to call 111 in despair! Doctor then prescribed medication but doesn't even do that part properly so end up back at Doctors for a barcode! Just not what you need when a child is unwell with an infection! My medical records are incorrect, missing diagnosis, they have been informed of this and given hospital letters months ago, still not resolved. But are prescribing medication for the not recorded diagnosis!? Nice new building but just awful service not set up to help patients at all. Shocking. My family will be registering elsewhere.

Review titled Too bad
Rated 1 star out of 5

I wrote yesterday (Wednesday)saying that at 8 pm my husband hadn’t received a call back from the duty doctor even though I called in person twice and spoke to the receptionist who said my husband was on the list for a call back,or the prescription that the AF clinic had asked the doctor to provide to help lower his AF. It’s now Thursday evening and the doctor still hasn’t phoned or written the prescription for his tablets . The AF clinic say not to go to the accident and emergency department because all they can do is give him the tablets that they asked the doctor to supply. I honestly don’t know what to do.

Review titled Shocking

My husband suffers from AF and was seen by the AF clinic who sent a letter to our doctor on the Friday to ask for a prescription to help when he was having an attack. On the following Wednesday he was in AF of 140 beats per minute, I went in person to the doctors at 9am explaining how concerned I was and would like a prescription as soon as possible so I could get him his medication. I was told he would be on the duty doctors list and a prescription would be sent to the pharmacy. I called round again in person to the surgery on Wednesday afternoon at 3pm and was told he was still on the list and should be getting the call very soon. It’s now 8 pm and still waiting. It’s an absolute disgrace.

Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 March 2023
It is impossible to get an appointment here, you are told to book online, but there are no appointments available and the message is to call the surgery, you sit in a telephone queue for ages to be told to try to book online tomorrow when new appointments are released. Impossible! I have had so much time wasted through this. Another time wasting experience resulted after being asked to go and have my blood pressure taken, I went in and a receptionist supervised me using the machine and noted down the results, I was half expecting a call as the reading was very high, but nothing, except another text message inviting me to drop in for a blood pressure reading as I hadn’t had it taken in the last 5 years. So not sure what happened to my previous reading, but that was a complete waste of time. When you do get to see a GP, I have nothing but good experiences, from the few I have seen, it’s just getting to see one in the first place…
