  2. Review titled Positive experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a wonderful experience this morning regarding this surgery. I laughed so hard that I wet my knickers. The reason for such joy ? I found out that CQC had finally got round doing the routine inspection on this enterprise (it is indeed openly and proudly primarily an enterprise and not primary health care service) and found it to be "good".

  3. Review titled A very peculiar practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 August 2023

    1. 1 found out by accident from reception staff that a telephone appointment with a GP had been arranged for me without any prior contact and I duly made note of the time. However, this appointment never took place. I rang the reception both on the day and 24h after the appointment time and asked for the appointment to be rearranged, but was told there were none available – no advice was offered re. what led to the appointment being made or how should I proceed now with non-availability of appointment. 2. I again found out from reception staff that appointment was made for me without my consent or knowledge – this time to attend in person at the surgery with non-medical staff. I informed this member of staff that it was not possible for me to attend at the proposed time; I assumed they would cancel the appointment. Now, only at the eve of the (presumably cancelled) appointment I am getting the same time offered on repeat by text message – however many times I choose the cancel option, the same offer keep on popping back. In other words there no option. This is a very peculiar practice indeed.

  5. Review titled Best Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I don't know why some people aren't considerate of how much work receptionists and GP's have to deal with on a day to day basis. Reception staff are wonderful and it is not their fault there is no appointments available and that the system has changed they simply follow guidlines. I have always had a good experience in this surgery and they go above and beyond for me there was no appointment for the nurse to get my baby to have her imms and she is a vulnerable patient and a receptionist went above and beyond to make sure she found one for me on the hub I didn't even need to call back she gave me a call and I was so thankful! Thank you to all staff :)

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am pleased to hear that our Reception team was able to provide you with the appropriate support. We are always able to offer an appointment with the right person, be it in person or by phone, and that may be another clinician at the practice or at the Hub. Our staff do their best to guide patients to the help they need. Your kind comments are very much appreciated, and it really lifts our spirits to read positive feedback. I’II be sure to share your positive comments with everyone in Practice.

  7. Review titled Very rude receptionist and supervisor

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2023

For the recent month everytime I go to the surgery I encountered rudeness from receptionists especially their supervisor. Speaking bad bout patients out loud when they hang up. Unbelievable. I write this review so management can be aware. I live in lordship park and know few of you patients who share the same sentiment I have been in Allerton a long time but I have to say I regret the lovely receptionist who was there not so long ago. Otherwise the nurses are very pro and all doctors are great. Shame the front desk have so poor manners.

  8. Review titled Efficient, Professional, Friendly practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 December 2022

I joined this practice about 2 years ago and my husband more recently. Everyone I have contact with at this practice is polite, helpful and sensitive. The doctors are knowledgeable and get things moving with ailments. The nurses are experienced and reassuring. The reception staff are efficient with admin and welcoming. I feel my health is in better hands than our previous practice.

I saw the physiotherapist on the 16/12 and she was extremely helpful, she explained everything to me and was very thorough. In my opinion Allerton Road is the best practice and I’m very grateful to be a patient there.

Dear Julia, Thank you for your very kind review on the NHS website. We have a brilliant team here at Allerton Road and I am very pleased that you have found the services we provide so effective and helpful. Having an inhouse physiotherapist whom the reception team can refer into without a clinical consultation is extremely beneficial for the patients and is a great addition to the services we provide . I will pass on your kind comments to all our team. Kind regards Sue Shepherd Practice Manager
