Annual health review today. Great nurse and dealt with an outstanding admin on the front desk. Young lady was outstanding. Dealt with an awkward client in front of me with patience, courtesy and a smile.

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the help, Information and care that I received today. You are a credit to your practise and I am so delighted to have received some proper attention and care from a doctor as I haven’t received this dedication recently from other medical practises. I was extremly impressed by Leyhill surgery. Never been there before but would choose there again if required. Lovely pleasant professional receptionist, & the nurse practitioner was very helpful,professional and efficient. The surgery was very clean with a nice seating area & parking was easy. Thank you everyone.

I received my flu jab on Saturday 7th September 2024 (lunchtime) at Ley Hill Surgery, from a member of the HCA and Phlebotomist Team. The staff member had a wonderful, kind, manner, took the time to reassure me, talked me through the side effects and genuinely took an interest. A credit to the surgery. Thank you for providing such a caring service.

The online booking system appointment that is for all the SCGP sites needs a rethink or improvement with patient/staff input perhaps. There is scant information on the online page to help people using it. I have tried to use it for the first time and failed. You may be using it at a time when you are in need of an appointment and you may fail if you do not fit the drop down menu criteria. Your ailment or request may not be listed for you to prepopulate in the form, and you will struggle to proceed with a booking because of this. There is no "free type" option, and you are, asked to answer honestly a series of questions about your condition - answer "no" and it may stop you proceeding, as I have found. It is also only available to use until 12noon. In person requests for an appointment at reception in person it can be a problem. Receptionists will often say "there is nothing available" or "The Drs diary has not been uploaded." If you ask when will it be updated the reply is"I don't know" so you can't get an idea as to when bookings generally become available to try again. It is unbelievably frustrating, and as a customer of the practice you would expect an explanation and solution. Triage by all means - but this month my experience has been incredibly frustrating when I'm asked in a txt message by a Dr to book a Review appointment with a Dr - and I struggled in person and online. As a patient you need to understand how an appointment system works in order to have a chance to be successful in obtaining one within the next month. These are basic requirements in order to face a chance of obtaining medical help at your Surgery. There seems a disconnect between Patient need and I. T system design, or Surgery practice need at the front end. We are people, human beings with ailments, ongoing conditions and many are, worried about our conditions. I'm sure the Reception staff must be as frustrated as the patients, if so I hope they voice their concerns. This system was changed in Dec 2023 I read in a leaflet in the, Surgery. I have tried to use it Aug 2024 and failed. You cannot use the, NHS App to book SCGP appointments, you cannot use Symtonline either, only the Group Practice website. You can queue up at 8 am outside, or try to phone - but it seems the vast majority of bookings go early and first thing. I do not visit the Surgery often with requests for appointments, so perhaps I am not "in the know"about how it works. I didn't need a same day appointment, it wasn't an emergency - but it was something I needed to get done. I had to try another route ( suggested by Reception) to try to get an appointment. Which will be by phone with a Dr it seems. I was left unhappy, by the callback from person telling me this, their curtness and tone of voice was unnecessary. Sadly I didn't take their name, I was so gobsmacked. I can only imagine the person was as frustrated by the, appointment system as I am to behave like that. I await my phone appointment.

There are occasions when internet triaging is inappropriate. Apparently it is appropriate for a father to make an appointment online on his daughter's behalf despite the fact that the issue is in an intimate area. Thanks for that.

Can I just say how impressed I have been with the service I have received recently from the Practice, in particular the doctor who has always called me promptly with test results and next steps with regards results relating to my Liver.

I am a man of 87 years and I have ongoing back and knee problems and recently I have been experiencing a lot of constant pain. As I had bowel cancer approx. Eleven years ago, I have had an ongoing constipation problem since then despite numerous remedies. Because of this I do not take any painkillers as I have found they make the constipation considerably worse. My wife went to the Leyhill Practice to see if there was a painkiller I could take that did not cause constipation. The pleasant young lady said I would need a doctor’s appointment and we agreed I would have a telephone appointment as soon as possible. The receptionist said she would do her best to get an early appointment considering the pain she I am in. My wife came home and within an hour a doctor telephoned! He was most helpful and prescribed topical pain relief on a repeat prescription which is really helping. He asked questions a gave me advice. In these difficult times I was very grateful for the very prompt response to my request for help. Also my wife and I have always found the staff on reception at the Leyhill Surgery to be most helpful and caring.
