    I had to go in for a routine blood test. This was carried out by the phlebotomist in a cheerful and efficient fashion. I found the printed instructions for the urine test, to be carried out at home more challenging.

    Having only recently experienced health issues, since April 2024, the practice has responded quickly to my concerns. However to date I have not seen a doctor in person and have been dealt with remotely by one of the advanced nurse practitioners or in person with the receptionists or practice nurse. To be fair the practitioner has answered my concerns but I haven't had the opportunity to discuss my current health in person with an actual GP.

    Despite agreeing medication with GP who forgot to prescribe it following consultation- messages requesting medication appear to be ignored resulting in the need for repeated contact and still no result!Cannot speak to anyone who appears to be able to make a decision!

    Nothing but issues with the practice , incapable of even typing in a phone number correctly, absolute lack of care or organisation, and absolutely worst communication to patients as well as within the practice. Good luck having health conditions if your young, even though your suffering it’s not to worry because your to young to be unwell so they won’t investigate anything. Put in a complaint and get an apology and told it’ll be bought up in training and then repeatedly make the same mistakes over and over again. Oh and good luck seeing a doctor face to face. Zero confidence in the practice and dealing with my health concerns. Even yesterday I filled in a Klink form for once it finally opened, as opening hours state till 4 but had been closed the previous couple of days, I select a time appropriate to call back and completely disregarded this and rung me out of the hours I requested, once we dealt with the three concerns I had, I then had another call a few hours later for the exact same issue that had already been dealt with, this should be simple communication within the practice, and patient notes should be looked at before to see if it had already been done.

    At 0802 the message advises no more calls can be taken for the day and there was 18 in the q.E consult not responded too either.

    Dear Patient, we are sorry to see that you were unhappy with us on Thursday. We have checked the telephone system and spoken with the Duty team that were working that day. We can confirm that due to high demand experienced throughout the week, coupled with in-house on the day sickness, our Duty team decided that we would only take calls with urgent on the day needs. Therefore we would like to assure you and others that may read this that we did not state we are not taking any calls. Please also note that the E-Consult system states we will respond within 24 working hours. If this is still outstanding we urge you to contact us asap.     I am a recently new patient to this practice, coming from St Lawrence Practice which I could not fault. Unfortunately due to moving house I had to register with The Strand. Its been a very disappointed experience so far, not only did I had to experience a lot of closures, due to staff sickness, but when I managed to get in finally I had a very abrupt receptionist that was not being very friendly and gives you the feeling you are disturbing her. No smile no friendliness nothing. I actually never go to a GP, but I was called in by them to make an appointment, I will think twice before I do that again. From the moment I registered with them up until now they still do not get my prescription right, or my son's. I can only say that I had a good experience with 2 of the doctors that were very efficient when my son needed urgent treatment.

    I phoned this morning first thing, only had to wait 5 mins or so..very helpful receptionist, less than an hour later, I had a call back from a lovely nurse. Would highly recommend the strand medical.
