    Been on three occasions in the last week alone with two of my children and multiple times in the past and always got an appointment when I’ve rang at 8am for them. The doctors and nurses we have seen are always very good and give good advice to worried parents, they are also honest if they are not sure and get second opinions from other team members and they go above and beyond, On one visit the doctor gave my child a check over who became suddenly unwell on our way to an appointment that was initially just for their sibling which was not expected but greatly appreciated and saved me having to wait until the next day for them to be seen or going to the walk in centre. The phone queues can be annoying but it is what it is and it’s the same everywhere. The receptionists have always been lovely.

    On hold for an hour then had to ring another gp to get them to email station surgery to actually answer there phones .. told to ring back at 5 only to be placed on hold yet again .. finally ended up ringing 111

    I had been contacted by the surgery on Thursday 9th November 2023 to make this appointment for my 94 year old mum as she was overdue a diabetic foot check and there was a clinic the following day. We arrived at the surgery at 11:12 (2 minutes late as there was a road accident on Broadfield Drive) My mother queued to get to the reception desk, whilst I waited for her in the car outside When she got to the receptionist she was told that she was late, and that, anyhow, she didn’t have an appointment My mum came back to the car and was very distressed I left her in the car and went to the reception desk and queued to speak to the receptionist and queried what she had said to my mum She said ‘your mum was 10 minutes late and anyhow she didn’t have an appointment’ I asked her to check the system again, which she did and she repeated ‘she didn’t have an appointment and anyway she was late’ I said to her ‘how can she have been ‘late’ for an appointment that didn’t exist’ I checked with a different receptionist a few days later and it turns out that my mum did have an appointment but it had been recorded as a ‘no show’ I’ve contacted the practice manager on more than a dozen occasions since this incident and, 5 months later, am still awaiting an investigation, explanation and apology My mum was very distressed by this incident and the following morning had an awful fall in Leyland town Centre and required ambulance and hospital treatment for injuries to her face I cannot prove that the previous day’s incident contributed to this but it may have My mums health steadily declined after this incident and she is now very poorly in a nursing home

    Took my Grandaughter who was 1 years old in to see clinical pharmacist and she gave me a prescription for her knowing I may not be able to get the cream. Tried 3 different pharmacy but no luck. Rang the surgery, was 2nd in queue for 26mins gave up and went in to surgery to be told they don't answer calls between 12 and 1pm but there was no message saying that while I was holding all that time. The receptionist was going to sort the prescription out for me and call me back, that was at 1pm. I had my phone glued to my hand so I didn't miss the call from 1pm to 5pm when I should of been having a relaxing afternoon in Manchester but she didn't call back at all. Spoilt my day!! Receptionist's shouldn't tell patients that they are going to ring them back and then don't!!

    Had emergency appointment Tuesday 14th March 2023 @4.45, wasn't asked if I wanted my prescription sending electronically to chemist was just sent, travelled to chemist olnly for it not to be sent, rang doctors 2 urgent messages apparently sent to the gp, no one phoned me back as promised, couldn't get through on phones as per usual, went chemist following day and its not 10.44am wed 15th march and still no prescription, had to waste time and petrol money travelling to the doctors and demanding not to leave till given my prescription

  6. Review titled Impossible to get in

    Unfortunately it is near impossible to get in for someone who has to work full time, you need to ring at a minimum of 5 times to get through, only to be told there are no appointments available. The only other option would be to come into the practice at 8am to try get an appointment, which isn’t fair for someone who needs care. Only results in people having to use important hospital care unnecessarily.
