Review titled Good service but some proactivity needed
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 February 2024
Surgery is normally good and it's easy to get an appointment. I booked online to get an appointment to access antenatal services and was told I could self refer... The qr code to self refer was hidden behind a door in the reception office! Can you please make this clearer in your waiting room and on your website so that people (me!) don't waste doctor's appointments in future?

Review titled Terrible and dismissive
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Steph - Posted on 02 January 2024
Constantly messing my family around since we've been signed up to this practice. Initially sent me a letter to book a smear test, which I did, to be told when I was sat there waiting that I wasn't due yet and needed to come back in 6 months. They sent me the letter! Have been various problems with medication in the time we've been here, not being sent, being refused etc. Partner suffers bad mental health currently and has not been listened to and sent out the door with no hope for a solution at all. Not even referred to iapt therapy to get him onto some sort of waiting list. I suffer with chronic facial pain and migraines and was given a medication I informed them didn't work. Low and behold I'm left in permanent pain thanks to this surgery, and my partner is no better either. Receptionists are rude, dismissive and insensitive and couldn't give a hoot what your problem is or what medication you need, because obviously your withdrawal effects aren't effecting them so why should they care? Told me to submit change of address online. This isn't an option and we haven't been told how to even do this. Waiting for a referral for my 10 year old daughter who has a lump on her neck and upon checking what's happening they just shrug their shoulders at you - nobody cares! Absolutely do not recommend this surgery. Avoid like the plague unless you want to be ignored, belittled and borderline laughed at for what they clearly see as "pathetic" medical problems.

Review titled Unhappy
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I’ve been with this surgery for many years and I’ve loved building a good relationship with my dr it really helps my mental health to have a dr who understands you as a person, however this year has to be the hardest year with the surgery, there’s been so many changes happen and no consideration to people like myself who struggle with change? It started with prescriptions over the phone granted this was a process that was warned about however a few months ago I was told this now isn’t dealt with by receptionist I have to use an app I was physically in the surgery needing my prescription put in and it was awful and extremely stressful situation for myself? Then my medication reviews I speak to one dr only because he understands my medication and me so he knows when it’s working or when it’s not and now I can’t speak to him I have to speak to a clinical pharmacist who doesn’t know me or how I am, I have no previous with dealing with this person and I hate chance but when I questioned this and asked to speak to my drs the receptionist acts clueless like I’m being disruptive but respectfully I don’t like change and as soon as I asked about leaving a review the exact response was why becuase you can’t speak to your dr? How rude is that? I should have the right to review situations without judgement? I’m horrified that I have to say I wouldn’t recommend the surgery after I’ve spent so many years singing the praise, I’m really unhappy with the lack of service the lack of respect and the lack of understanding I should have the right to be allowed to book with who I feel comfortable talking to, I don’t feel like my mental health should be dealt with anyone who I don’t know or don’t feel comfortable with and I shouldn’t be told I’m not allowed to Book with someone? It’s my health so I feel like this should be my choice who I trust? It’s making me anxious and my appointment isn’t until Monday I feel forced into changes when I don’t deal well with spontaneous changes I like to be notified These changes were made and people like myself who struggle with changes will not be coping then I’m made to feel bad becuase I’m about to have a meltdown at the counter because I prepared for one situation now I’m told it’s going to be a different way? I’m furious to say the least I think clients should have a say about who they want to speak to I think changes should be sent out Either via text or email so That patients are aware things will be changed and clearly inform people what changes will happen and when they will be changed over

Contacted the Surgery to get help with locating an inhaler from Pharmacy. By the end of the day the item had arrived at home. Thank you for your help.

Review titled Small , caring and responsive practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 February 2023
When my husband was very ill at home with a chest infection / bronchiectasis in January I emailed and spoke to the practice . After some discussion they arranged for a doctor to visit that day and we avoided having to go to Casualty . There are very few practices these days that provide such personal and responsive care . You are the most caring practice in this area
