    Every time I have needed a GP visit I havent been able to use the practice. I have been registered in this practice for 3 years now. The phone line is always busy and never been able to get hold of someone. Those few times I did speak to reception only, they were not helpful and had to use 111 to get me a gp appointment.

    Dear Ada, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. I would completely agree with you, it is getting harder to get through to our phones lines week on week. A lot of this is due to Receptionists filling out E-lites for patients not using the E-consult service online. We are getting a new, cloud based telephone system installed, that has more lines and should inform patients of the waiting time in the queue, so that you can decide if you wish to wait. Secondly, with the new GP contract starting on the 1st April, we are not allowed to simply say we are full or at capacity, we have to navigate patients to other appropriates service, which is why when we have reached our safe limit per day, patients have / will be signposted to 111. We have changed our phone message to let patients know that they should fill out an E-consult in the first instance and encouraged staff to only fill out E-lites for those who do not have access to a computer, or are unable to use one so that we do not block the phone lines. On average at the moment, we take around 7-10 minutes filling out E-lites for patients who could have filled this out online. We are trying our best to address these issues and we completely understand at times it can be very frustrating for patients. We hope the above changes will ease the bottle neck on the telephones so patients are able to get through easily. Thank you again for your feedback. Laura Mayo Practice.

    After being told I need to see someone face to face I replied to a appointment text and went to my appointment for them to say no one will see me! I replied within 4 working hours to the text which was received Friday afternoon I replied Monday morning as I needed to get the time off work. They had given my appointment to someone else and didn't tell me until the day of my appointment. I also had to wait 50 mins in the surgery taking time off work and had to sit next to a sick child with a rash. Horrendous service.
