Review titled Poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul jones - Posted on 27 August 2024
I visited the surgery this morning in hoping to get an appointment after a motorcycle crash last week. I was greeted outside by some women who rudely spoke to me asking if I had an appointment I said no i would like to make one her reply was you cant you've got to do an econsultant. She did not let me explain why I needed an appointment. I went home and done the econsultant and at the end it told me to call the surgery now in a que of 9 people and on hold for 30 minutes at the moment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I needed an emergency prescription for the blood sugar level strips, I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and I'm still waiting since 24h +. I called, I went to the surgery (30 min by walk), the doctor should to call me, he don't...Not professional at all . I will move my daughter and myself from this Surgery. And the secretary are not friendly at all.

Review titled Completely Useless Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

I've been with this surgery for nearly 4 years and tried to make my first appointment with a doctor today. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes to speak to someone (apparently I was number 4 in the queue!) and explaining the situation I was told that I would be contacted to arrange the appointment. Moments later I received a text advising details of an appointment, with a technician (I'm beginning to wonder if there are any doctors at this surgery) a 30 minute drive away. I joined the surgery because it was close to home and do not expect to be travelling around Kent. When I followed up with why the location and not a doctor, apparently my injury doesn't warrant seeing a doctor - I'm assuming this a computer generated reply otherwise there is a problem with people in the caring profession not really caring. The whole set up of being unable to make an appointment, having to spend a long time on hold trying to speak with someone, trying to be palmed off with technicians, clinicians and anyone but a doctor and total lack of empathy or humanity is so disheartening that I would rather change surgery than deal with this one every again. I would wholeheartedly definitely Not Recommend this surgery to anything with a pulse because you will not get any form of a service of care unless you are ok with a health service without human contact just e-consult forms, texts, emails etc. I have never made a review about a medical person or institute before but for the St Mary Medical Centre / Maritime Health Partnership I am happy to make an exception, in my opinion it is that horrendously bad

I had two appointments this week. Very positive experience from the time I walked in the door. Helpful and friendly receptionist on both occasions. Also, the nurse and doctor were very professional and would like to say thank you for all your help. Janette

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended the surgery recently for a health review and injection. Booking the appointment on line for the review was quite easy and the receptionist was very helpful in arranging for the injection. All staff that I had contact with were polite, helpful and cheerful. Thank you all
