  1. Review titled Excellent practice yet again

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen Fowler - Posted on 04 August 2023

I am leaving a second review because I cannot fault the care, professionalism or genuine empathy that I have experienced from your practice nurse. I have worked in the nhs for 20 yrs and their conduct and care is second to none. A huge thank you to you, it is so greatly appreciated and I know you won’t rest until you’ve resolved my current issues for me. I’m so pleased that I am now under the care of St John’s whilst also appreciating your demanding workloads - I never have a problem obtaining an appointment when required. Thank you!

  2. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen Fowler - Posted on 30 May 2023

Extremely helpful and efficient admin team. Given same day appt. Seen on time, by professional, empathetic ANP who dealt with my issue and concerns fully. Did not rush me for time and reassured me whilst treating my problem. Prescriptions given and collected within 5 mins from onsite pharmacy. I had an excellent and very positive experience. Thank you all at St John’s Surgery.

  3. Review titled Good thing there wasn't an actual fire

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 April 2023

Arrived early for my appointment today to find both receptionists wearing hi-vis vests but neither of them behind the checking in counter (machine to do this was out of order) so they both ignored me and continued about their business. All became clear when a fire alarm began to sound and we were all ushered outside. The staff obviously knew where the assembly point was and about 5 minutes after they had filed out we were beckoned over by another woman in a high vis jacket. When they had called the names of all the staff we were allowed back inside. A patient spoke to one of the fire marshals to point out that none of the patients had been counted and was told very abruptly that they had been. Bearing in mind at this point I had still not been checked in and my name was definitely not called and a further 4 patients had begun to queue outside the surgery whilst the test was being carried out. There is always a wait when attending for an appointment here and I imagine today will be even longer due to the fire test delay but honestly if there ever is an actual fire here then I hope for everyone's sake they have seriously reviewed their fire safety training before then.

  4. Review titled Frustrated

Rated 1 star out of 5

After receiving a bp monitor last week and one set of paperwork I had a different form To complete which could not be done on my phone and then I couldn’t scan the written document so returned it to the practise with the hope of someone reviewing but was told it would be scanned by Wednesday and reviewed by Friday . Is it me or if you have a duty team someone could review and advise instead of waiting another week before I get the advice I asked for on 1703. ( that time the duty dr wasn’t from my practice so couldn’t help me without their consent and the said bp readings ) keep calm they say

  5. Review titled Run Screaming from this Doctors Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

If I could give no starts I would. Tried to use the online appointment booking system to be told that it wouldn't work and that I would have to phone up and speak to someone. So I did, and I have just spent 45 minutes on the phone to book an appointment and was told by a rude receptionist that there were no appointments at all and that I would have to turn up in person to the surgery next week at 8am to book an appointment.

  6. Review titled Quick registration and great online system

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 September 2023

I recently moved to the area and needed to register with a doctors surgery. I registered online late yesterday evening and submitted a request to be seen. I had a call at 9am and it was discussed that they would get me onto the system asap and I’d get a call back. Within 15 minutes I was registered and had an appointment for 10.50 which was very impressive. I think the online system is fantastic especially when my previous experience at my old surgery was ringing at 8am being in a queue for an hour to then have a triage call back to then maybe get an appointment later in the day. I feel this way speeds up the process and would be easier to do within working hours and it avoids going to the surgery when perhaps you can pick up something from the pharmacy. The doctor I saw was friendly and I felt like she listened to concerns raised. Overall a fab experience.

  7. Review titled Lack of comunication

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2022

When you ring st johns house medical centre in worcester to actually speak to a doctor about your insulin injections, and the receptionist says someone will ring you back shortly and its now 1 hr since the surgery shut and no one has rung you back, its absolutly rediculous, this surgery seriously needs shutting down and someone take it over who will run this practice properly. You still can't even get an appointment, they ring you back (if your lucky) and diagnose you over the phone. something serious needs sorting with this place

  8. Review titled Useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2023

tried to get help for extreme stress regarding both elderly parents' hospitalisation at same time. No sympathy at all, and met with argument relating to misunderstanding of previous medication, and offer of stress councelling which never appeared even after 5 months!. Completely unhelpful and left adrift.
