Review titled Lack of compassion
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 July 2024
It is near impossible to get an appointment to see a nurse or GP. Some at the reception are mostly rude and seem annoyed that you are phoning. 2 weeks to get a phone appointment due to increased pain and inflammation and the GP could not offer any solutions, advice, or even offered how to manage the increasingly escalating problems. This lack of care from Southbroom surgery has only added to the problem. I would have thought trying to reduce the swelling would help natural healing but the attitude over the last eight months seems to be is to ignore the situation and continue to fob me off to other agencies with no attempt to provide any care in-between. Disappointing .

Review titled Good service but needs joining up thinking
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Please make it clear whether a urine sample can be left at the Marshall Road health centre or not. Last week I was told by the GP to leave my sample there, but when it came to leaving my husbands urine sample there today the nurse we spoke yesterday did not know and your receptionist said we should bring it into Southbroom surgery. The receptionist also at Marshall Road was not sure

We are sorry to hear about your experience with our new Health Centre. As a general rule urine samples are not dropped at the Health Centre unless specifically told to do so by a clinician. When this happens the clinicians should inform reception - I suspect this did not happen in your case or there was poor communication and I apologise for the inconvenience this caused. As a result, we will remind all staff about the protocol to try to prevent further episodes.

Review titled No interest in the patients they care for!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2023
I have been trying to be physically seen by a GP for weeks or a medical professional as I know they prefer to not see patients unless held at gun point. The receptionists for the most part are rude, condescending and look at you like you have risen from the swamp or something. The rare time you speak to a GP, the main core group of them are so rude and condescending, they never listen to you and when it comes back to bite them, they simply blame the patient, as apparently they should have made their health issues clearer!. They hate it even more when you call them out on blatant lies, such as when you have had a phone call appointment and walked in looking well and had no visible temperature.

Review titled very poor service in several areas

Phone lines constantly engaged Ask to phone back as past 4.30pm you can't get a urgent prescription issue sorted Referrals to secondary care need chasing and chasing and chasing - no joined up service and staff do not follow through with what they say they are going to do not just on one occasion but unfortunately for us 3 times leading to months of delay and significant pain cannot get support for others in the family with ordering medication for them - even for things on repeat prescription. if you work full time 9-5 very unlikely to be able to get any routine or needed issues with medication/prescriptions sorted out

Review titled Awful Reception Team
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2023
Nursing and doctors are brilliant but the receptions are nasty. Speak to you incredibly disrespectfully every single time you call or go in. The facial expressions they make when you speak directly to them are as if you are inconveniencing their entire day by existing. Consistently horrid experience.
