Review titled Not able to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 December 2022
I call from 8am to 10.30am 144 time continually engaged to try and get an appointment for my son, so decided to drive down to see if I could book in person , only to be told I need call to get a doctor to call back and book appointment, it was not the receptions fault, but this is a joke no wonder A&E is full of people that don't really need to be , will try again tomorrow if no joy will have to try 111

Review titled Effective practice

Using NHS 111, I found that the UTC was telephone only rather than walk-in, which I thought would be a problem but was actually very useful. I sent in my details and received a call from a doctor within 1 and a half hours, bearing in mind this was in the evening, just before closing time, on New Year's Eve (so one of the busiest days of the year). The doctor was very helpful, exceptionally clear in explaining all the possibilities of what my condition could be and provided some good advice options. Overall I am pleased with the service, but I'm glad I checked online beforehand about the telephone service only.

Review titled Terrible

Been on phone over 2 hrs and no answer and on number 1 for over 1 hr. Is there something wrong with the phone lines or something. What a complete joke no wonder people are going to A & E. Putting more pressure on them because no one is answering.

Review titled Awful
Rated 1 star out of 5

Couldn’t get a GP appointment but was given this number for urgent treatment center. Well over 2hrs waiting in call queue and still didn’t get through. Instead of any medical assistance I feel like I’ve just been mugged… check your phone bill. £30 on a 2hr+ call that I didn’t even get to speak to a receptionist never mind an actual doctor.

Review titled Wait on a call to be told they cannot serve
Rated 1 star out of 5

I rang to talk about my daughter, I waited a long time. When eventually call has been taken, I am told they take no more patients today. Why do they not automise and make people wait unnecessarily!

Review titled Utterly ridiculous
Rated 1 star out of 5

Turned up at the ‘walk in’ centre after calling my GP since 8.15, getting through at about 8.40 to find there’s no appointments left. I arrived to find a poster on door saying they are no longer a walk in centre and to call a number to get a call back. I’ve currently been on phone for 57 minutes in a call queue, with the queue going down by 1 about every 20 minutes!! So thus is just another GP surgery I can’t get through to. What is the point of this service if it’s as inaccessible as my own GP surgery??

Review titled Questionable receptionist
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Ben - Posted on 24 November 2022
Called and made an appointment with the receptionist who said the doctor would call me back within 10minutes and asked if the number I called on is the best number to reach me. I said it was as I only use my mobile. No call so called back an hour later and spent 45mins in the queue. Then they closed. Called the next day spoke to a different receptionist who said I was called back on a landline. Which I don’t have so I don’t know where they got that from. she didn’t seem to care as she wasn’t working the day before and was apologetic that it had happened
