Review titled they will not see you even if you are bleeding heavily
Rated 1 star out of 5
by kishore chudasama - Posted on 13 June 2023
I have just come from this practice, The main reception, after telling them my medical emergency, sent me back to of their other door, which clearly said that they are for emergency treatment door but when I rang the buzzer, their lady staff says to me that they can't see me and that I need to go to the nearest hospital a&e. I still am bleeding from the fall and do not know what to do. I do not have a mobile phone and if I have serious infection or life threatening consequence I have left a message in my wallet to say what i am saying to now. I have been contributing to NHS for almost 30 years. Do not know what to do and why we pay you guys - so sad and in extreme pain behind my led can't even see the wound so so sad.

Review titled Amazing service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Cathy Hughes - Posted on 06 June 2023
I developed a painful rash on my forehead. Within half an hour of completing the online form for Katie Road Walk In, I had a call from the doctor. I was seen within half an hour. The doctor was a most caring, reassuring and professional clinician. He diagnosed Shingles and prescribed the appropriate medication. I was very grateful for the level of care and a great service.

Review titled Wonderful, compassionate doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5

We visited the urgent treatment centre on a Saturday afternoon after my 9yo niece had a terrible eczema flare-up. She was in a huge amount of pain and discomfort, very agitated and visibly distressed. The doctor we saw - I forget his name but I hope he sees this - was wonderful. He took the time to listen to her (long) medical history, asked plenty of questions about her experience with different medications, made her feel totally at ease and spoke to her directly which despite being distressed she appreciated. The treatment he prescribed, whilst only a temporary solution to manage the flare up, made a huge difference in just 24 hours and she was a different person by the Sunday afternoon. Thank you.

Attended with my poorly 1 year old as I couldn’t get into my GP. GP surgery suggested I called I was worried thinking of a possible terrible service. Called at 4:30 had a phone call back in just over an hour and was seen before 7pm. Short wait, shorter than at my GP. GP was lovely with my child and gave me info of out of hours chemist to collect prescription. Wouldn’t hesitate to contact again as unfortunately children are not always unwell during GP appointment times or when appointments open for the day at 8:00am. Receptionist also lovely and friendly. Easy to park and get into building, space in waiting room to sit.

Review titled Outstanding care today - thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by S Potter - Posted on 01 January 2023
I called on New Year’s Day. I got to the front of the telephone queue very quickly (within 5 minutes). The receptionist I spoke to was very polite and helpful. I was advised a doctor would call me back within 2 hours but that it could take longer as the centre was very busy. The doctor called back within 30 minutes and was polite, friendly, professional and took my concerns seriously. I was offered the option of a prescription over the phone or a face to face appointment. I initially accepted the offer of a face to face appointment but was unable to make it due to being too unwell to leave my house. When I called back to explain and request to prescription instead, the receptionist was again very polite and helpful, and the doctor again called back very quickly and was very understanding of my inability to get to the surgery. The doctor wrote a prescription for me immediately which a friend was able to collect for me so I could begin treatment quickly. All in all, I did not expect such rapid service on a bank holiday when I know the NHS is under significant pressure and I am very grateful for the prompt, caring and professional service I received today. Thank you to all who assisted me.

Review titled Rang 152 times, doctor never called back!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2023
I have rang the practice 152 times this morning, from 8 o’clock managed to make an appointment for my daughter after 30 min which was great as I’ve tried on Monday but no luck! Been told that a doctor will phone me after 4 o’clock. Rush home from work, my daughter rushed home from school, rang them around 5.30 to make sure that my daughter is still on the list, the lady from reception reassured me will get a phone call! That was a complete lie as it’s past 6 now I haven’t got any phone call, tried to ring them and a robot answered saying that the practice is closed for appointments, however they are opened till 6.30! It’s ridiculous the amount of time and effort I have put and to get this bad bad service! I won’t be able to the same thing tomorrow! So how can I get an appointment for my daughter! I am very disappointed with the practice and with the doctors that aren’t doing their jobs properly and with the system in general! Is so broken can you not see it’s not working and needs changing? I wouldn’t recommend the practice to nobody! A couple of weeks ago they did the same thing, saying that will ring me and never did! Poorly managed practice! Looking to change!
