Review titled Poor Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sarah Baker - Posted on 21 October 2024
Why can't you request an appointment in the future for a simple request. Why is everything phone at 8AM and queue for an hour. Surely this isn't the best way.

I had an asthma review with a lovely Nurse this morning. She was bubbly and friendly and very, very professional and competent. She was very positive and encouraging. 10/10 thank you.

Only if I could amend the errors in the prescription, will be even better. I.e. I have requested several times to change the regular symvastatin quantity from 28 to 84 as every thing else is 84. This will save time , I have requested several times face to face appointment as well, but not been actioned online repeat prescription.

Review titled Solihull Healthcare Partnership Appointments System
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2024
Solihull Healthcare Partnership system of booking appointments does not work. Up to now I have visited a surgery 3 times to obtain an appointment. First time no appointments "come back tomorrow at 8.30 and you will get an appointment". Second time at 8.10am queue of approximately 20 patients outside waiting to get in "No appointments". Third time got there before 8.00am and again a long queue of patients - no point in waiting, there will be nothing left. There were elderly people waiting to get an appointment who had been there since 7.45am that is terrible. Why can't we go back to the system as it was and go to our surgery and book an appointment with the receptionist there? Over the years I have, most times, seen my Doctor when necessary who I can talk to and have respect for but seriously considering having to leave Solihull Healthcare Partnership which is sad. I have a heart condition and would like to discuss my medication with "my" GP. Yes, I have tried phoning but by the time you speak to someone there is nothing left, or you get cut off. I am sure the Doctors are doing their best - it's just getting to see them is the problem.

Review titled Disgraceful service

Tried to get an appointment on 28th March due to a health check I’d had & cholesterol was high told to see my GP. I just laughed & said “ I wish” when indid try to get an appointment I just got a flat no from the receptionist nothing available till after Easter, everyone’s been booking an appointment. 🤔 Gave me the normal times I can try, (try being the operative word ) again after then. Nobody waiting in the surgery so not even sure drs work in afternoon. I have been told that they don’t anymore just mornings. Left a prescription with pharmacy on 25th March to be informed today 30th March nothings come through & I was the 3rd person today that’s happened too. Like everyone else has said this system we’ve had since COVID is just not working.

Review titled Terrible Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

I called in today in an attempt to get an appointment, as usual there were four people waiting in the waiting room, never seems to be anymore than that, yet they are always fully booked ? i was told to either call at 8.00 Am tomorrow or to call in at 8.30 when doors open or finally go online which i was advised the simplest way. i responded surely the easiest way is to let me make an appointment now ? apparently in the wonderful service they provide ( not ) this is not an option, my question is why not ? Anyway went online to be advised ' service currently unavailable ' the doctors running this practise should be ashamed of themselves. but somehow i think since covid, they have realised they can provide an utterly useless service whilst still being paid incredible amounts of money ! something needs to change desperately and can someone advise why the waiting room every time i go is virtually empty ?

Review titled Dangerous. Not fit for purpose.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Laura - Posted on 20 March 2024
Getting an appointment on the phone is impossible. Only way to get an appointment is to go through the shp online service, e-consult, and that's only available periodically. I left information explaining I was in constant excruciating pain and had been for days and was feeling desperately low as a result. I was emailed later that day with an appointment for in over 2 weeks. The terrible thing is I was grateful to get that. It's only when you're in the midst of overwhelming pain and depression you understand what an unthinkable amount of time 2 weeks is. I will copy SHP's standard response here to save them the trouble: Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you received. I received a text from my GP asking me to make an appointment to discuss my results.I have tried for two weeks to no avail. All it would take is that the GP would phone me it would only take 5 mins!!This Surgery used to be excellent .Now it seems that the patients are there at the Surgery,s convinence not the patients! Also there is still no online booking system!

Review titled Impossible to see a GP
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 March 2024
Currently on day 5 of my attempt to get an appointment. Call at 0800, lines too busy, you can't join the queue. Call back every 5 minutes until you are able to join the queue at number 40+, hang on the line for as long as it takes to get to a person, but by now all appointments are gone, call back tomorrow at 0800. I'm now on call attempt 29 this week. My meds run out on Monday and practice wont give me a repeat prescription without a GP consult, but obviously I can't get that, because I can't get an appointment. At what point does this shambles cross over to become dangerous to patient care?
