Review titled Absolutely Rubbish Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Clare James - Posted on 15 July 2024
I got up at 06.30 this morning to complete and online request for an appointment. My husbamd also completed a form with the receptionist in the surgery at 8am.Told i woukd get a text back nothing happened. Five hours later following assessment by 111 I am on my way to urgent care. This new system is clearly not working no triage happened. Atleat with the 8am queing system you could speak to someone and get an appointment. Now you just send information into the online abyss.

Dear Patient I'm sorry your experience with our new appointment booking system as not gone well, caring for our patients is of the upmost priority. If you would like to contact the myself Emma Gaylor [Practice Manager] direct I can discuss your concerns directly with you and explain the system in more depth. The triage model that we have adopted is in line with the Modern General Practice working, directed by NHS England. Regards

Review titled Appointment cancelled by surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jane - Posted on 20 March 2024
I had a telephone appointment with the pharmacist at 10:50 am. I received a telephone call at 11:10 am cancelling that appointment. I have to wait over 2 weeks for a rescheduled appointment. What would the surgery’s reaction be if I cancelled an appointment 20 minutes after the scheduled time? I have organised my day around the original appointment, now I have to do that again. This shows a lack of respect for clients.

Dear Jane I am sorry to hear of the inconvenience that cancelling your appointment has caused you. Unfortunately sometimes having to cancel appointments are out of control due to clinicians sickness. We do try to give as much notice as possible. If you wish to discuss this further please contact the surgery and ask to discuss with the Practice Manager.

Review titled Great Practice ruined by ridiculous booking procedure
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Let me start off by saying the doctors at this GP are fantastic and have never failed to be anything short of that. They are all wonderful people. However, getting an appointment to see them is anywhere between a tedious chore and a downright impossible nightmare. You are completely unable to prebook an appointment and you have to phone on the day at 8am otherwise you are out of luck. If you phone up past 9am or god forbid it's a particularly busy day, there are no appointments left by the time you get through. At work? Sorry, no can do. Have other commitments that day? Haha, fat chance, call back tomorrow and play the appointment roulette all over again. Of course, if you are sick and are trying to rest as much as possible, having to set an alarm at 8am in the vain hope of actually getting an appointment which isn't guaranteed at all, much less at a time that's convenient to you is a chore enough, especially if you're having to do it over multiple days because it's Winter, everyone's ill and everyone is phoning up faster than you to take all the appointments and with no way of actually booking an appointment even a day in advance. It is just appointment roulette.
