Phoned at precisely 8.00a.m this morning.After 30 seconds was connected to option 1 only to be told that all appointments were gone for today. How can this be when you can't book advance appointments or book at the surgery. Prior to covid this was an exceptional practice but now it is not fit for purpose. It appears you have to be dead to get any response

Rang dead at 8am.... By 8.02 after listening to waffle... It says all appointments are gone... And I am number 30 in the q. The service and appointment system here is disgusting. They don't listen and don't learn. Pre Covid this surgery was the best. Since Covid they use it as an excuse for no appointments. Absolutely ridiculous.... What do the Gps actually do?... They don't see anyone..,. Sadly, now one of the worst surgeries in Folkestone

Never get thru on the phone - use 111 its the only way and have been to A&E many times and only once at sandgate

This week I needed an appointment to see a doctor, telephoned at 8.05am I was number 34 in the queue, no chance of getting an appointment. When is the surgery going to allow patients to walk in and make an appointment with a receptionist? COVID is being used as an excuse!

I have tried for 2 weeks to book an appointment. The online appointment & e consultation booking service is a farce. How can there be ‘no appointments remaining’ at 8am when it supposedly opens for bookings? Day after day I’ve tried and nothing. On the occasion I phoned the surgery - half hour queue - it was suggested I pay to see a private doctor. This surgery is not fit for purpose.

All appointments and e-consult appointments have gone within minutes of the telephone lines opening at 8am. No face to face appointments available at the surgery. Information on the website is not helpful. Too many recorded messages while you are trying to get an appointment. Not good for those with pay as you go phones.

No appointments of any kind. Same experience as everyone else says. Eventually I was promised call-back after seeing a private Gp (did not want this but worried by symptoms) who emailed them I urgently needed seeing plus meds or else visit a&e. They never called back. Then said they sent my prescription to Essex !!!! This practice is positively a danger to patients and needs to be closed down for safety. Don't bother going here.

I have tried on several occasions over the past 8 weeks to contact the surgery for an appointment. The econsult service doesn’t work - I have tried daily to send a form and it already states it is full from 8am every day. I have tried to call and can’t even join a queue- an engaged tone is heard then the line cuts out. I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes but it’s actually terrifying as a patent to feel there is no primary care access, particularly if there is concern relating to serious issues such as suspected cancer. I am trying to register elsewhere with another surgery. A serious investigation into primary care access and provision needs to be undertaken in this area. I don’t know if the management or clinicians are aware of the scale of the issue within this practice but it is very concerning.

Tried to get an appointment this morning for my poorly grandson who has a fever and sickness but all appointments gone by 8.14. Tried to hold on as instructed to book an urgent appointment but I was cut off. No point trying again as after waiting 50 minutes in a queue will be told no appointments go to the walk in. This happens every time you call no matter how soon after 8 when the surgery opens. Who manages to get an appointment? I have tried at exactly 8 and been 14 in the queue only to be told all appointments gone, call back tomorrow or go to the walk in. No wonder the walk in centre is busy it is full of Sandgate Road patients.The surgery needs to stop hiding behind Covid and start seeing more patients and start face to face appointments without having to have a telephone consultation first. This is a waste of an appointment and doubling their work. They advertise they are taking on new patients, how will they be seen when they can't see the ones already registered. I would not recommend this practice.
