  1. Review titled Uncaring

Rated 1 star out of 5

My wife just gave birth and we have been told by the hospital to arrange meetings with our GP to ensure both mother and baby are safe. This has proved near impossible. Despite having discharge papers, saying meds after emergency surgery had be reviewed in 10 days, You have to use the online booking form which is only open 8-12 Monday to Thursday (if it doesn’t get onerwhelmed) meaning that if a new mother missed the online form on Friday morning she’d have to wait till Monday and be up early enough to book a call. We did this. Then when the doctor called (12:30) we had a health visitor. Despite calling back immediately after (12:50) - she was told that the doctor had taken her off the list because she hadn’t answered! Meaning she’d have to go through the whole process again. Do no harm? This is a shambles and more than than, uncaring.

  2. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have been registered with this practice for over 20 years and can only commend my recent experience. Having struggled to book a face to face appointment or get any support from a previous doctor at the practice I had an appointment with a new doctor and I was listened to , my symptoms were investigated through scans and I was offered follow up and advice. The doctor reassured me by his calm , personable approach and I felt supported and valued. Thank you

  3. Review titled Horrible and limited service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bradley J Ponponne - Posted on 17 January 2024

I have been registered to this GP for years and the service has declined for reasons we all already know. However, I had been instructed to see a nurse for a dressing change after I had got out of hospital on the evening 16th January. I had tried to fill a online form on the 17th after 8am, when it opens only to find the form had been immediately closed. Shocking. The service is limited and I'm finding myself to use inconvenient methods to seek aid.

  4. Review titled Not so good

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I rang the surgery this morning as I am an OAP aged 76 after waiting over 20 mins the receptionist answer and ask for date of birth I told her that I am suffering from dizziness can I speak to a doctor the lady told me they are short staffed and offered an appointment at a different surgery I told her I am 76 years old and would find it difficult to get there the lady said that's all she could offer I then asked for a telephone consultation the lady couldn't offer me anything which I find very poor all she kept on saying was they were short staffed I think that is a poor excuse for a service but even worst was the lady then cut me off without any warning

  5. Review titled Answering the phone

Rated 3 stars out of 5

On a number of occasions I have been 1st in the queue for over 30 minutes and at one day for 1 hour 45 minutes. When I do get through I cannot leave a message and told to go on line. Why is it that you automatically assume that I am computer literate or indeed have one at all. When I have managed to see a doctor, I have no complaints. I have contacted the surgery everyday for 4 days begging for my results, everytime being told that nothing had been done from previous calls.

  6. Review titled Excellent service despite NHS pressures

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The online system for appointment works really well and I have always heard back from a doctor either the same day or by the next working day. It makes such a difference to not have to call at 8am and be on hold for a long time, like what happens at many other practices, and the form is really straightforward to fill out. All the contact that I have had with the doctors (both face to face and over the telephone) has been fantastic, with helpful explanations and I feel that my concerns have been taken seriously. Given the level of strain that both NHS hospitals and GP practices are under at the moment, I feel very lucky to be able to access medical advice this easily.

  7. Review titled Great GP practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve been a patient here for over 40 years and would highly recommend it! The online system is really good now that you submit the form, get a text confirmation and then a doctor gets in touch during the day. My issues have always been resolved in a timely manner and I am treated really well. They also have an asthma/breathing specialist now who is great at his job and has given me some good advice recently. My mum and son are also patients here and have also been treated in the same professional and efficient way as me. I’m never afraid to contact the surgery if I’m unwell, they always respond quickly and deal with it. You won’t go wrong at this practice!

Friendly and efficient. Clear explanations, speedy action, very professional. And kind. All in all a very comforting and reassuring experience from reception to healthcare assistant to doctor. Thank you!
