Review titled Terrible Practice - never any appointments!

111 referred me to see GP within 3 days, sent notes to Roundwell. Receptionist claimed they had not received them, 2 hrs later rang 111 who checked their records and stated these had been sent to GP. Rang Roundwell again, still no records, they looked again, apparently in an email backlog. Despite receiving, still would not allocate an appointment. 111 told me to ask for Practice Manager if GP refused to give me an appointment. I did this and was informed Practice Manager was in a meeting and that 111 would have allocated me one of their daily six slots if it was that important! I gave up trying to get an appointment at this stage. Seems that receptionist can now triage better that 111!

I arrived for my Medical Review today (08:30 01/10/24) to find out it has been cancelled. The person on reception was very short with me and said they'd sent a text message on the 18th Sep to inform me. I did not receive this. I was on holiday, with no signal, from 14th - 29th Sept. I Work From Home and had a call this morning at 08:30 which I missed most of and now need to catch up whereas I could have have been on it. Is there a confirmation of text delivery on your system? If it is undelivered is it followed up at all? If not then this is awful admin skills. The surgery have my email and I have requested many times to only contact me by email because, until recently, I worked on oil rigs for 10 years and could only receive email, yet they still use my phone! I tried to use the complaints process on the surgery website but that is '404 Page Not Found'. Classic Roundwell!!

Roundwell Medical centre, might aswell, not exist. My Blood tests, been turned down 6, times absolute Joke, I'd be better off, getting services from, the dark Web. Also put my prescription in 10 days early they still nanage to make me wait 40 minutes to collect them. Really needs looking at. It's not good enough.

I came for my ladies 3 yearly procedure unable to stipulate the word on the website yesterday 15.8.24 such a bubbly lovely nurse, she put me straight at ease with her warm personality she was so gentle and such a genuine person. I hope she stays at the surgery, the reception staff on duty were so helpful Thank you such a pleasure to attend a medical appointment which such caring and Carasmatic staff

On two occasions now I have requested help from reception and they could not of been more helpful and my issues were promptly sorted out.Reading other reviews I half expected a bad experience,when visiting my doctor last week.But all went well and I was not left waiting to see doctor as is much the case these days.Thanks reception.Top marks

I came to see Nurse R, super efficient, caring and really put me at ease, such a good experience. It’s super hard to get through for appointments but I really like the call back system when your in the queue it’s easy to use and you don’t have to hold listening to the music and voice overs this made my experience so much easier

I just wanted to take the time to say a big thank you to Roundwell GP practice. I have been with Roundwell since you opened many years ago and never had any issues and have always been happy with the service for myself and my daughter. However in the last year I have really seen what a great surgery you are. I have recently given birth to another daughter and my pregnancy was 9 months of hell, from suffering with constant sick, to the high levels of anxiety I experienced due to a previous loss and many complications in this pregnancy. Although I was mainly led by the consultant at the hospital, I had to visit the GP many times during my pregnancy and not once did I struggle to get an appointment and each time was met with kind, caring, and empathetic staff- this being from the reception team on the phones, to the GP's and Physician Associate, to the practice nurses and HCAs taking my bloods. Since having my baby the excellent care has continued and I have felt cared for during appointments with both GPs I have seen since giving birth being extremely kind and caring and going above and beyond during consultations to take the time to ask about my mental well being and not just the issue I presented with. The GP who carried out my babies 8 week check was phenomenal and showed a real interest in myself and my baby. I felt at ease and that nothing was too much trouble for her and got the sense she really cared. I have felt high levels of anxiety during this pregnancy and since giving birth, but the staff at this surgery have really made me feel at ease each time I have had contact, so thank you. I just wanted to pass on this feedback as I know often it is just the negatives we hear, but I feel on this occasion the surgery and its staff should be praised. Thank you

My daughter was seen this morning by Dr a. He was wonderful. He spoke to her so kindly and without making her feel silly or small. He was incredibly reassuring. A really magnificent Dr.

Tried to contact surgery for advice this morning. Held on for over an hour then was told no appts left, phone back Monday(!) or ask 111. Phoned 111 and was told to book blood test and ECG before further advice. Once again held for a long time, gave up and tried later. Even longer wait this time( no. 7 in queue which never moved so gave up). Tried later, this time even longer wait so gave up altogether. Whatever is going on. Luckily not urgent but very upsetting. No transport or would have come in person. Could there not have been some message saying that there was a problem.

This practice uses the most user-unfriendly registration form. It is the archetypal “computer says no”. I provided the correct information that I was new to the UK but I have now had 2 follow-ups saying I have to give them a previous GP in the UK!!! And now I have read the reviews, I think this will not be the practice for me!
