My mother is registered with Redwood House. My experience of the practice as my mums advocate has been very positive . Her GP , the practice nurse and all the reception staff are approachable, kind and very patient focused. The reception team have gone the extra mile on many occasions and I feel my mum is very fortunate to be registered at this practice. This evening at 18.20 I received a call from a member of the reception team to check that my mum had the correct medication in advance of the weekend after the script had been sent in error to my local chemist - our fault completely for not informing her local chemist that she is no longer staying with me in Hertfordshire. Very impressed and grateful.

Called Redwood Surgery today for a family member in need of a doctors appointment. Called at 4.55pm and the automated answer service stated my call was in a queue and would be ‘answered shortly’. Was told by the automated voice bot that I was 6th in the queue. Got down to being 3rd in the queue after 45 minutes waiting and then it just started ringing. Assuming I was next to be answered I held on for another 46 minutes now making it 90 minutes at which point it turned 6.30pm which is the surgery closing time according to Voice Bot. Call ended without anyone answering. How can anyone be expected to wait hours to get through to the surgery. Madness! The person I called for still requires a GP appointment and 90 minutes I won’t get back. Simply not good enough.

I didn’t know that I could post a review on here I just wanted to take the time out to praise the whole team at Redwood House Surgery, in Maidenhead, especially their Practice Manager. For all the help me and my parents received in getting my parent’s appointments/referrals sorted out. I don’t live local and they are both elderly with ongoing health issues. I can’t thank the practise manager enough for going out of her way to help us! Also for the help/care they received at Redwood House surgery, thank you to everyone there .

We understand it is difficult and worrying to manage appointments for parents especially if you are not local to your family. Just to let you, we also offer E consultations on our website, this is easy to use and helpful especially for administration queries. A member of staff will respond to you by text, email or telephone within 48 hours or signpost you to the right person or service who can help you further. Your comment will mean a great deal to the whole Redwood House team. It very uplifting for the team to be recognised for their hard work as we always try to do our best. My GP Organised antibiotics and tests for me within an hour of a request from the hospital where I had minor surgery. The doctors, nurses and staff at Redwood House surgery are brilliant. Always helpful, caring and considerate.

I have needed to use econsult a few times over the last few weeks. Each time I have been really pleased with the efficiency of the reception staff. They actually take note of what is being asked and act on it promptly. They respond by text or phone call and the whole issue is resolved without anyone having to waste time on the telephone or using up one of the precious appointments. Well done Redwood House

Dear Patient, Thank you very much for leaving your comment, it will mean a great deal to our team especially the admin team who assist the GPs in dealing with the E consultations. Your comment is a good example of how E consultations can make it easier for patients to contact the surgery and get the help they need without the need to speak with a GP or Reception. Non urgent issues or administration queries can be responded quickly or signposted to other services such as the local pharmacy or clinicians in practice to deal with. I’m pleased you found the E Consultations efficient and our Redwood team very prompt. I will feedback your positive comments to our team who I’m sure will be very happy after reading your comments.
