  1. Review titled Consistent great service with compassion

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I had a condition which in the order of things could be described as relatively minor. However, it was very painful and was affecting daily life. I rang the surgery and was given excellent service, compassionate and kind and they quickly help to resolve this issue. Thank you for today. However, over the years I have found them to be professional, considerate, and above all kind and sympathetic. I am very, very glad to be a patient here.

  2. Review titled Outdated

Turned up for my daughters appointment to be told that the doctor hadn’t turned up and they was having to cancel all appointments. Always find it hard to get an appointment and the phones could do with a queue system so you know how long you will be waiting on the phone.

Thank you or your comment. We apologise for the inconvenience this caused. The surgery had arranged additional GP cover to ensure that we were able to meet patient demand ahead of the bank holiday weekend. It was completely out of our control and very disappointing that the GP who had agreed to cover the afternoon for us failed to turn up on time and then contacted us when patients were already waiting to advise he would not be coming at all. Something that we consider very unprofessional. The GP partner who was also working that afternoon saw as many of the waiting patients as possible in addition to those already booked in her clinic. Those remaining were all offered the next available appointment. This is certainly not representative of the service we wish to offer and something that has never happened before. We are acutely aware of the difficulties that the current telephone system causes. When relocating into the hospital premises some years ago the surgery was allocated a line through the hospital switchboard - this has not been fit for purpose for some time. We are pleased to say that we have at last been given the go ahead to install a new surgery telephone system. Work is currently in progress with the system supplier and we are hoping to have an installation date confirmed within the next few weeks.
