Review titled Wonderful practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rama Sharma - Posted on 15 September 2024
I am very satisfied patient of this practice . Today is Sunday, I requested some prescriptions some of them were new medications recommended by the hospital recently and the hospital must have listed those in my discharge letter sent to the practice. They were so quick to send these prescriptions to my usual pharmacy it was done within an hour of request I find the Doctors , nurses and the other staff so very helpful. Highly recommended.

Recently my son had a very high blood pressure with exceptionally high heart rate. As he is so young, we were very concerned. Luckily, our GP practice, Queens Walk took that seriously and immediately organised blood test, blood pressure monitor and Electrocardiogram . Subsequently we were recommended to see a cardiologist, who was able to help us. Now everything is under control and our son can resume his normal life. We are forever grateful to the entire staff of Queens Walk Practice. Thank you!

Review titled Very dangerous practices

I have been a very satisfied patient of this practice - I have a serious chronic condition requiring consistent medication. I contacted by email for a repeat prescription of medications requested by my hospital consultant. I had zero response from the surgery and I phone d my chosen pharmacy to find out that the practice had not sent my repeat prescription through to them - situation was niw urgent. I then called my surgery and waited one hour and 20 mins on their phone system! On getting through I was told by the admin staff that they were not accepting prescription requests by email. I had to use nhs app or They said I had to request via my pharmacy. Ok so they’ve been reorganizing but what could be the excuse to put my health at risk by not responding to a my communication. The admin person told me she could do my prescription on this occasion - what a terrible attitude. It’s such a shame as my gps are excellent but clearly they are being managed very poorly. Seems having patients is all too much for queenswalkpractice these days.

Review titled Unprofessional staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Shashank - Posted on 09 May 2024
I have visited Queens Walk Practice twice for blood collection for test purpose and on both occassions I didn't have a good experience. On the most recent occassion, the person collecting the blood acted unprofessionally. After removing the needle, he placed a cotton swab on my hand at the area from where the blood was collected. I tried removing it after 15-20 seconds to see if the blood had stopped. At this moment he retorted saying that I don't listen to instructions and that I seemed to have been a really naughty person in the past. This type of unprofessional statements coming from the medical support staff is totally uncalled for. Instead, his job was to clearly explain for how long I should keep the cotton swab and apply the adhesive tape for cotton to stay at it's place, which he eventually did more than minute later. Moreover, he started explaining that he has done a perfect job and because I removed the cotton swab now there is a rash on my skin, whereas there was absolutely nothing at all and I wasn't feeling uncomfortable and didn't even complain about anything whatsoever. It's suggested that staff should maintain their behaviour within professional boundaries. Not happy with the way he behaved. Won't recommend this service to anyone unless the feedback is noted and the support staff is trained appropriately.

Review titled Dreadful experience

Started calling at 10.41am and the phone line was not taking calls. Attempted to start an e-consult, the practice was not accepting e-consults. I decided to try calling again at 10.56, where I was holding for 1 hour, 38 minutes. A member of the reception team answered eventually, asked me to hold, which I did. I was then asked the standard questions, explained my symptoms and was curtly told I should have called at 8am for something this urgent (which I was unable to do as, unfortunately, my working schedule didn't allow for it). I was told an evening appointment would be made for me at a related clinic in Greenford Avenue and that once the appointment had been made I would receive a text confirming it. No text with an appointment, no call back to let me know the situation. In other environments this sort of abysmal treatment would be tolerable, in matters of your health, this isn't acceptable.

For the last few weeks I am constantly feeling sick, tired and fatigue, which could be due to my thyroid function,I have under active thyroid and should have it checked every six month by blood test. After feeling tired, sick and generally very unwell for the last few weeks I decided to call my Gp and ask for blood test, which I did today and was told there are no appointment available till 14 March, this is unacceptable. when your GP surgery doesn't care how you feel and asked you to wait and suffer more for another few weeks it is very disappointing and I wonder who else’s could we ask for help when unwell?

Dear Patient We have blood clinics running every morning which are pre-booked in advance. The receptionist offered you an appointment and the alternatives would be to book at Ealing Hospital or a local service which we can also pre- book into. If you want to book at one of the alternative options, please let us know. If you feel there is anything urgent, call us at 8.00am in the morning for a telephone consultation. Practice Manager

Review titled The staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2023
The staff at Queens Walk Surgery have displayed unprofessional behaviour, being rude and dismissive towards patient, even during emergencies. On one occasion, a staff member mocked my accent and did not make an effort to understand my concerns. This type of behaviour is concerning and does not reflect the compassionate care that patients deserve. It is important that the staff are held accountable for their actions and receive training on how to treat patients with respect and kindness.
