Review titled Shocking
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Amanda Bowles - Posted on 13 September 2024
10/8/24 In pain, told only appointment is in 2 weeks, went privately told I needed blood test letter was sent to dr - 11/8/24 Rang surgery receptionist said they haven’t got the email so sent again- 12/8/24 rang again receptionist said yes they’ve received it and it’s with the GP so ring again tomorrow - 13/8/24 rang again receptionist said I’ll send it to the dr - So the receptionist was lying when she said it was being dealt with which is very disturbing and frustrating when anxious and have been shown no empathy whilst in pain only told that there’s a high volume of patients for the dr to get through- we all have jobs that are demanding but lying is not acceptable “not good practice ”

Review titled Appalling customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gillian HOLMES - Posted on 12 July 2024
I am absolutely fed up of the shoddy service received. Complaining appears to make no difference. My partner had a blood test booked days ago for 6pm today. Was told after he had booked in that it couldn't be done because no one had updated the ICE request. Total farce

Review titled Made to feel like I'm wasting the nurses time
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 July 2024
I am in the process of having test completed with the surgery and where the doctor I have been dealing with has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I messaged today to ask for something to help with one of my symptoms to be advise I wasn’t aloud it, Which was fine I totally understood the reasoning. But then the Nurse went on to tell me to do and not do certain things and not eat gluten which the specialists have told me completely different information. When I advised the nurse, this was not the case and she was giving out incorrect information she began to become very rude and aggressive. She made me feel like it is just a quick fix and if I stop eating gluten, I will be ok by tomorrow. I have been told by the gastro team and by coeliacs UK I have to keep eating gluten to make sure I have the correct results when I have my test, I attempted to tell the nurse this but she became quite high rate on the phone and said I was being rude which I was just trying to say its not that easy and I have been going through this for the past 12 months and for someone who I don’t even think understood what I was trying to say about being diagnosed with coeliac to tell me to just stop eating gluten and I will feel better in a day. The nurse had made me feel like my condition is a bit of a joke and not very important and just a quick fix if I stop eating certain foods. If you have nurses calling people back who are in vulnerable positions, I think either need more training on what they are speaking to patients about and be a little more sympathetic about peoples situations. They don’t know what we are going through and we call the doctors for help not to be made to feel like I am wasting people time.

Review titled Let down
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Mrs Lynsey C Hodgson - Posted on 25 January 2024
I rang this morning at 9am about my husband who was showing signs of a chest infection, I asked for a call back and around lunch time a pharmacist rang and again we repeated the symptoms, he said he would get a GP to call. At 4pm my husband received a text saying log on to the NHS website, to see a text message. This said that he needed to visit the UTC. Thankfully I rang the GP hub at 6pm and he has been given a face to face with in the hour. I have been a nurse in the NHS for 25 years and am the Deputy head of Nursing at a large NHS Trust. I'm so disappointed at the lack of personal communication my husband received, I understand there may have been no appointments, but you would have known that at 9am, and should have informed us of such at that time.

Review titled Shocking service

Get regular texts to book a diabetes blood test. I'm fairly text savvy, but no appointment available on line. Tried phoning only urgent calls be taken, tried on line again and got sent an appointment that I can't access 2 bus rides away and on the one day I work. I give up...this is not a service...

Review titled Cardiology service

The cardiology service were very nice and very helpful. They explained everything in detail. I had feedback via phonecall straight away rather than having to get in touch with gp, which was good.

Review titled Was once an excellent practice - is very poor now
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 April 2023
Does everything possible to avoid speaking or actually seeing you in person. Am still waiting for treatment for hip issue first reported in December 22. Was initially advised to look at videos on back pain on You Tube ! Passed from pillar to post. Complaints never acknowledged never mind looked into... Online forms filled in but flagged as 'dealt with' when they haven't been.
