Thanks to the clinic for the blood test. However tried to make an urgent appointment for a recurring issue and offered an earliest appointment in 5 weeks time. Why such a delay?

We've had excellent experiences with this surgery. All the GPs we've talked to are fantastic and caring, the staff is friendly, and the vaccination system was always running smoothly even when other surgeries were having trouble. But: there is something seriously wrong with the phone lines. PMG, if you can look into this, it would be so helpful, and it would probably ease stress on your staff. As other reviewers have mentioned, the phone almost always gives you a busy tone. I don't mind getting into a waiting system ("you are third in the queue," etc.) but it seems like 95% of the time that isn't working or it only has room for four or five people to be on hold? Everyone else must just call back 20+ times throughout the day in hopes of getting through. I've had many experiences where I simply can't get through to book an appointment, and have given up to drive to the surgery and speak to someone in person, which is not ideal when you're trying to keep number of in-person visitors down. Please PMG, call your phone provider and have them add more queue spots, I have never had so much trouble reaching a surgery on the phone!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our services, and I'm sorry that you are experiencing problems getting through on the telephone. We have had a lot of absence due to sickness, which has an impact on our telephone answering and we are doing our best to improve this service.
