I have been coming to this surgery all my life, today I had to have some cryotherapy treatment so I was nervous however my usual GP and nurse were there and talked me through it and were as always excellent. A credit to the surgery both of these professionals are. Neal C

Having recently “re-connected” with my NHS GP, I was offered six 45 minute sessions with a well being coach at the surgery to help me address lifestyle and stress issues connected with a number of recent health challenges I have experienced. This is an incredible thing to be offered. The coach has been extremely perceptive and is providing me with encouragement and practical support in putting in place measures which are helping me to rebalance my lifestyle and hopefully put my mind and body into better shape. All this has been arranged in my local surgery at times which work for me.

This is the Future of the NHS with a newly-embedded workforce of Allied Health Professionals such as Health Coaches, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners, Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Dementia Care Co-ordinators, Digital Care Co-ordinators, and Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) Care Co-ordinators all providing additional appointments and capacity for Personalised, Person-centred, Holistic, Supportive Care with PREVENTION PREVENTION PREVENTION and MOTIVATION MOTIVATION MOTIVATION at the heart of Health Coaching. Receptionist is rude and condescending. Doesn't listen to what's being said and is totally lacking compassion. Needs to undergo further training as a matter of urgency. Shouldn't be dealing with vulnerable patients and their families.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We have completely changed our reception team to more customer-friendly receptionists with good Listening and Empathy skills and all of whom undergo regular Communication skills training sessions, therefore it is very disappointing to hear about your recent experience and we are sorry that you were not satisfied with your call.. As all phone calls are recorded for quality assurance, we can investigate further by listening to the recording of your call with the receptionist and take further steps if necessary in accordance with our Zero Tolerance Policy of rude and abusive behaviour towards patients, staff or vice versa. It would be very helpful to arrange a meeting with our Practice Manager to air your concerns and review your phone call recording so that the appropriate action is taken. With kindest regards.

Appointment made and on time. Advice given and follow up to be arranged. Computer system may need sorting as 5 days later requested to make an appointment as "I hadn't been reviewed in the last two years".

Underscores computers make errors too and cannot replace the checking behaviours of humans!
