Had our Flu Jabs today having been reminded by our surgery to book, staff were Great as usual as well as organised, we were in and out in less then 5 minutes. Keep up the good work guys, you are the Best…..

When it comes to flu injections - we'll organise. When it comes to contacting this medical group, practically impossible. My wife and I have ongoing health issues and require review regularly. We receive texts from Pathfields group telling us to make appointment such as blood pressures and tests, COPD review or diabetes tests. We spend literally hours on the phone trying to get through - only to be told only appointments available are in four or five weeks and at a surgery other than our local one. Being OAPs and not having transport, means we would have to catch a bus to the town centre, then one to the relevant surgery plus what could be a long walk. Not good patient care

I am very sorry to hear of your experience. We receive on average 1000 calls into the surgery every day and therefore our telephone lines are very busy. We are working hard to answer these calls quickly however there is a big demand for appointments when the lines open at 8am. We have recently upgraded our telephone system, and this is making a difference to our wait times. I do apologise for the delay in getting a nursing appointment, unfortunately we have been very short on nursing appointments due to staffing. We are pleased that we have recently hired multiple new nurses, and this should allow more appointments moving forward. Unfortunately, some of our sites are busier than others due to the number of patients in registered areas of certain sites, we do offer sooner appointments at other sites but understand not everyone can get to them. Unfortunately, this is an ongoing problem as we cannot relocate our nurses just to preferred sites as we have a duty of care to provide nursing treatment across all sites regardless of patient preference. Once again, Pathfields Medical Group thanks you for taking the time to write this review and can assure you that all issues are used as a reference point for our further learning and development as a practice.
