Considering the current state of the NHS, this practice seems to cope extremely well. I saw a Gp who I hadn’t seen before but he was extremely good. Sorry, don’t remember his name and no record of it on my text messages or on the app. One improvement which could be made to the on line checking system; it could say whether the applies upstairs or downstairs. Also I seem to have to allow a week before a request for a prescription and it being supplied by Boots. Otherwise, all good

I went meeting some investigation of a health issue. This required, as a first step, a blood test. The Dr was helpful and booked me in for one but both of us were frustrated that the first appointment that could be afford was over two weeks away. On top of which they could only do it at a sister practice which is a 25 minute drive away. All the other appointments for such a simple and routine test were also only available at the same practice within the following month. If I did not drive there would be no way to get to this practice, as it is not on any public transport links locally. Therefore, it restricts the speed and quality of care available to patients. This must be due to lack of resource, poor management of it, or both. The other thing that could be done to relive this is for the Dr to take the blood themselves, as that would have taken less time than trying to book the appointment.

It was lovely to receive good thorough advice. The system to get to this point is awful and I can see how difficult it must be for the elderly or certain people with difficulties with tech. I'm waiting for some sort of confirmation of my request for a letter from the doctor. It would be good to get an email of confirmation.

The doctor listened and gave me excellent advice and even spotted another problem without me mentioning it. Was extremely thorough and didn’t rush me at all. I left feeling confident that everything that could be done was going to be achieved.
