    I was invited for an annual medication review. This involved the nurse and a follow up call from a G.P. Both staff members were friendly and it was a good experience

    This was a feedback call after annual review. Previously it was face to face with senior nurse (sister) or doctor. Call seemed pointless as there as very little content.

    After queuing on the line for 35 minutes I got to speak to a very nice person who asked for details of my situation and the nature of my requirement for a GP appointment. After describing the situation in detail she closed the conversation by cheerfully telling me that I would be receiving a text with a link that I should follow - call ended. I got the text and clicked the link, it required a password I did not have stored in my phone so I had to copy the message and email it to myself so I could open it on my laptop. I followed the link and with access to the required NHS password I could then make an appointment. I work with technology all the time and this was still a time-consuming and challenging process. I have no idea how people without access to the internet can access a GP if this is the only 'gateway'. The actual consultation was excellent.
