Review titled First visit.
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Yas F - Posted on 02 April 2024
Today I have my first visit to Parklands with the lovely Nurse lf i visited for a b12 injection but wasn’t informed by the previous nurse on my new meds appt that i needed to order and collect the injection prior to the appt. The lovely nurse went and seeked and acute script from the duty Doc and said she would squeeze me back in once I collected from the pharmacy next door. So grateful for the kindness and helpfulness i experienced today! I hope all future visits are as pleasant as today.

Unsatisfactory customer service spanning many years. After a hiatus and returning to find no improvement, I deregistered and went elsewhere.

Review titled Felt dismissed
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have never had any problems before with the doctors, nurses or reception staff at this practice. However since finally getting through to them for an appointment for my daughter when she was both 7 months and 10 months, I have had the same experience and left feeling the same way. After waiting a while for both appointments, the appointments were then quite quick and dismissive of what I was raising as a concern for my daughter - bearing in mind I am not a medical professional and I am first time mum. At the most recent appointment the doctor didnt even greet myself or daughter properly and made me feel stupid, like I was supposed to know what was wrong and how to deal with it. I felt quite angry and this is probably a shared feeling by most first time mums. I was not trying to waste time or want a solution - I wanted reassurance that the concern couldn't get worse, and I wanted advice on how to manage it if it needed it. I received neither and I left feeling dismissed, unheard and quite angry. I get more attentiveness for myself as an adult when I go for my contraceptive check ups. I would rather my daughter get that kind of treatment by the doctor we saw.

A credit to the NHS - I can honestly say I feel extremely fortunate in being able to access this surgery. My GP is understanding, caring and I have total trust in her.
