I phoned for an appointment. The message said I was 10th in the queue. The answerphone message directed me to the website to complete an online Patches form. So having waited 10 minutes, I abandoned the call and my place in the queue. The website said that Patches were unavailable at the moment! So the answerphone message is not up to date, and I wasted more. I also noticed the site said expect to wait up to 4 weeks for none urgent appointments. At the time of typing I have been on hold for 24 minutes and I'm still only number 3 in the queue. Who has time to wait like this? Thankfully when you do get through, the staff, doctors and nurses are usually very good. Fingers crossed!

Hi Adele Please accept our apologies for the problems you have experienced with our phone lines. We have reported the problem to our phone company and they have escalated an investigation to the highest level. We have also added a message to our website to inform patients. PATCHs can be submitted on-line between 7:00-12:00 as per our phone recording message. Patients may still phone or call in at any of our 3 surgeries outside these times. I have asked one of our reception team to contact you today to enable them to help with your query. Hilary (Practice Manager)

every one that I have seen have been very helpful with any problems that I have had. And they have dealt with any concerns that I have had. I am very happy with all the staff at the practise.

I spoke to Dr Gascon today after being so poorly with flu and my chest and understood my medical history and was very empathetic and gave his time to make sure i’d get the best treatment. After covid having that relationship with your GP is necessary especially with being disabled and living alone. i didn’t feel rushed or kept to a time slot that means a lot for a patient like me. I’ve seen him in person in the past and has helped me through many situations can’t ask anymore than that.
