The Doctor listens carefully with my concerns. He always takes his time. I'm greatful to have an amazing Doctors in the Practice and all staff.

A previous doctor I spoke to a year back was most helpful. Though my most recent experience when I am at what I feel an all time low, with no support and the Doctor I spoke to spoke to me like I am a child at School with a lecture, despite suffering from severe mental health issues I am hoping to move away from Hamilton in the future, and of course change GP

The Doctors and reception team are always helpful, professional and caring. Most days you can get same day appointments.

Having called yesterday in extreme distress due to a reaction to a new medication and a flare of an extremely painful condition I was made to feel completely at ease. The Dr called me back within 10 minutes and was really patient as I tried to talk through the pain and distress. They helped me by sorting my new meds and set things in motion to further investigate why this was happening so severely. I have never had a problem with this service and they also were a great service to my dad his entire life. Their care and compassion to myself and family when distressed and unwell has been brilliant and I can't fault them. Yes, sometimes reception staff can be a little snippy when they answer but I can only imagine the stress that they are under each day. All in all I appreciate how this service has dealt with my many health issues and I am thankful to them for their care.

The doctor was thorough, answered my questions, and offered me a pneumonia vaccine, which I didn’t know existed. Above all, he took me seriously and acted accordingly.

Got up early to get an appointment, could not log into my usual NHS site, but accessed it via Patient Access and within a couple of minutes, had obtained an appointment. Saw the GP, who asked numerous questions until she understood my history; cross-checked it with me, relayed her understanding back, whilst she made notes on her computer. Arranged a hospital bone density check; changed my medication; notifying my pharmacy immediately. Also asked me to suspend one medication, until she received the result of the hospital test. Advised me to keep a record of my blood pressure and a diary of all the Foods and drink I consume, and recommended changes to my Dairy diet. Finally made another appointment for me to see her in Two weeks time. I immediately went to my pharmacy, who had just received her notification of my change in medication, and collected it. All in all, a superb visit, better than expected.

Oak Lodge medical Centre is a good place to go for medical treatment. Services at the reception was good. Finally the Doctor I met was very patient, he listened to me and took care of me and prescribed my medication without wasting much time.

This GP is the worst experience I’ve ever dealt with - it’s impossible to get an appointment -they leave you in the queue for hours on end with no answer when calling - they’re incredibly rude and have absolutely no urgency, which is staggering giving their sector. There’s not enough explicits in the world to describe this service.

We have various ways to access our services, online booking, e-consult options via the website, Additionally, we offer evening and weekend appointments, through our Federation service. If you're unable to get an appointment with your GP, you may also want to consider visiting a walk-in centre or urgent care clinic. These facilities can often provide medical advice and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries and can be a good option if you're unable to get an appointment with your GP. We continually review our access to services and try to accommodate our patient’s needs. We are sorry you have had difficulty.
