    I asked for a telephone call back today and I received a prompt call back from the doctor.He was brilliant, he listed carefully to my concern and ensured a plan was in place to try and put things right. Great service.

    My GP was extremely attentive - took very good care of me during my appointment, and asked me to come in person on the same day so she could have a look at my issue physically. This is the most successful GP experience I've had in years.

    In the recent past it was hard phoning to get through and make appointment. Then they introduced booking online for a call back where you could type in a box your request then wait. I find it totally unnacceptable that doing this at 8.33 am the message is " fully booked" So now we cant speak to anyone and this has gone to not being able to type a message to anyone.

    Dear John thank you for taking the time to post a review. The reason the practice has made changes to its appointment system is as a direct result of contractual changes imposed on us by NHS England, some of the changes they have made involve the way we must offer patients an assessment at the time of every appointment request, we have been able to achieve this via the ‘Accurx total triage’ model, where all requests come in the same route to the practice and then each and every patient request is then reviewed and triaged by a senior member of our clinical need, then the most appropriate outcome for each and every request can then be offered, and booked in. It is therefore true that at times we do reach our safe capacity but this differs from day to day, depending on the demand we face and the capacity we have. I do hope this explanation is helpful.     Following my appointment with the doctor they understood my concerns and we agreed a solution. However, I feel that nowadays NHS does not care about their patients as much, and it is extremely challenging to receive the treatment you are asking for. I would like to use the expression and compare the overall service to "banging head against the brick wall".

    Given the NHS is under immense pressure at the moment with appointments, I still highly rate this surgery as one of the best in Peterborough. Although an appointment isn’t always guaranteed, usually due to me being too slow, I always get an appointment around the time I need it. I managed to speak to a GP today via text service, which was incredibly useful for someone who works full time while navigating a school run. The GP was very thorough, but kind and despite being via text it still felt very personal and tailored to me. I really appreciated this today.

    Very friendly staff,very polite and helpful,always feel treated well and with respect. Receiving the phone calls promptly and getting everything sorted in the same day, the doctors I spoke openly listen and they manage my circumstances promptly with no hesitation or any complications. Their response is very prompt which is my case is very beneficial as it doesn’t leave me hanging.

    I am currently on HRT. I have purchased an HRT yearly subscription that our MPs fought so hard in parliament to achieve for us. Yet, this surgery still hasn't revised it's policy on yearly reviews. Most other surgeries in England now require you to fill out a Review questionnaire yearly and self submit, I asked that it was looked at a year ago- but here we are a year later, with the surgery still not offering face to face appointments at a reasonable rate, and still requiring that a telephone appointment needs to be completed for a Review. For alot of front line workers this requires booking a day leave from work as the surgery can't offer an appointment time, but rather you'll be phoned any time during the day. When you're phoned, it will be by usually a male clinician who has no idea about the menopause whatsoever asking questions that every other surgery in the area asks for via a self submitted questionnaire. Furthermore, the last time a clinician reviewed this I received a text from him stating 'when I reach 50 I should contact the surgery to discuss other methods of contraception' since when was HRT a contraception! This surgery could be offering more telephone appointments to people who are requesting them by freeing up appointments if they were to review their policies. HRT also can't be on a repeat prescription so requires manual submission to request, and the request function online is only available during working hours. HRT also requires giving three monthly blood pressure readings and weight- I have in the past year taken a day off work also for this with a request to see the nurse, for that appointment to be cancelled last minute by the surgery. The whole process is stressful and every 3 months when I'm required to request HRT I dread. This shouldn't be the case and again I would ask that your policies are reviewed. I would like to add that during COVID all of the above was non existent!

    Dear patient, thank you for your review, yes our HRT Policy is under review currently as you quite rightly state some practices are sending out a form for patients to complete prior to medication being issued, this is exactly what we are looking at for our surgery for HRT and Contraception going forward.
