My partner is at this practice I tried today calling 35 times and it goes to call ended he has been diagnosed with PTSD he needs help now

Surgery is a two minute walk from me so I asked if I could join as present surgery is a 40 minute walk away. Told I couldn’t do it as I’m already registered in catchment area. I went back to my surgery who was genuinely confused and said first time they’d heard of it and to go back to Mill Lane and double check I hadn’t misunderstood. I went back and they again said ‘no’, it’s policy and that every surgery in area will tell me the same thing! I then went to a different surgery 10 minute walk away and they said ‘yes, no problem’. I was surprised and said I was told I couldn’t change for reasons given and they were confused too, saying they didn’t understand their stance. Mill Lane receptionist is very unpleasant and unhelpful and my two daughters have had incredibly rude treatment too from the same person. Absolutely no need for it. If the job is too stressful for said person to be able to manage their attitude then maybe they need to change their job. I’m so glad to be able to find another surgery where they actually couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant while dealing with the same daily challenges.
