Review titled Ridiculous procedures
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2023
Iv tried for several days now to get an appointment. Each time I ring at the told 8am the line is disconnected or busy. When I finally get through with over 40 tries in half an hr all the slots are booked. They refuse to do prebooked appointments to see the gp, I can't get booked in for the blood tests for some reason either. As a person who is at work at 8am Mon to Fri to take the time off to ring for 30mins on average to be told it was a waste of time is ridiculous. Who are they not providing precooked appointment options yet? I can not take a day off work on a random day in the hope I'll be seen that day at the gp only ro find I won't. This is not appropriate way of managing patients who are not Yet seriously ill.

Review titled Patient neglect
Rated 2 stars out of 5

After being seen in a&e a week ago and prescribed pain relief for back disc injury and trapped nerve called for follow up on worsening pain and further pain relief yesterday to be told procedure is to see physio not gp despite fact they can't prescribe. Seen by physio today who was very understanding and issued sick note with follow up review appointment and sent urgent request for GP to sort pain management after explaining only having 2 prescribed pain killers left from hospital. This was at 08.40 and having heard nothing by 17.00 called to be told by the poor receptionist that go had stipulated that nothing will be prescribed without seeing me....so why have the crazy procedure of seeing physio first ???.... appointment made for tomorrow despite me pointing out the fact I am left with no pain relief for over 24hrs and no GP clarification of this....waste of time on my behalf and the physio trying to help me!! This surgery has some ridiculous procedures which are not favourable to patients and this is deemed neglectful to myself to be left with just paracetamol for a disc injury or take someone else medication which is hypocritical of me as a practioner myself. No faith in this surgery at all lately.

Review titled Dreadful service
Rated 1 star out of 5

After visiting the surgery for a blood test as I was worried and had a health concern, I had a 'text' saying they had a message at the Surgery. The receptionist then told me the Nurse needed to discuss something in my blood results and booked me in for a telephone appointment 5 days later. Due to my work I had yo use holiday leave to book the afternoon off as I cannot use my phone at work. The time of the appointment, 14:30, came and went. I phoned up over 9 times, was cut off 13 times. At 18:25 I had still not received a phone call so I phoned back to be told the nurse had gone home and she had rang me at 6 but I did not answer so she left an answer machine message!! This was a total lie. Firstly I was sat with my phone since 14:30 with full signal and had No phone call. And secondly I have No answer phone on my mobile device as Iturned it off 2 years ago!! Now 8th November and still nobody has had the decency to call leaving me worried sick about what is wrong. If you can't get this right what else are you getting wrong Major Oak??? Appalled.
