Unable to get an appointment for treatment/antibiotics for a UTI I was able to access one at Rochester Healthy Living Centre the same evening thanks to the receptionist I also needed advice on pain relief for a chronic shoulder pain which was given over the phone then followed up three weeks later ( today) regarding the medication prescribed. The advice I was given was positive reassuring and sympathetic. I have every confidence in Maidstone Road Surgery despite the challenges faced by GP practices in these difficult times.

I rang in the morning and asked to see a Doctor and was given a face to face appointment. She was very thorough in diagnosing my problems and actioned further investigations. Very pleased with the service provided, very friendly and listened.

Changed surgeries recently because the last one was so awful with rude and unhelpful staff. This one is so much better with friendly and helpful reception staff and a lovely practice nurse

Virtually impossible to get an appointment. Rude,uncaring , dismissive staff. Practice manager is condescending, patronising and lacks any empathy. My family have the misfortune to all be registered there. One has mental health issues and was told by the doctor to "get a grip" very helpful indeed! They do not open on Saturdays so good luck if you're in work. To get an appointment you have to ring at 8am, again if you work good luck with that. By 8am and one second you're about number 30 in line so by the time you get an answer, there are no appointments left. Face to face appointments are nigh on impossible to get, mostly it's over the phone and it's as and when they get round to it so the second your not by the phone and it rings, you've missed your chance. If I were to describe this practice in one one it would be "omnishambles

Dear Mr Howe Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry to hear of your experience at the surgery. I hope to respond to your comments below:- Unfortunately the surgery does not open at weekends, however we do have access to booking appointments on the PCN system and appointments are offered on a Saturday and Sunday but will be at another surgery. The surgery offers patients the choice of booking face to face appointments or telephone appointments and 80% of the appointments are now face to face. There are 3 administrators answering the telephones at 8am and they do their very best to offer on the day or the next available appointment. All staff are fully trained and caring. However I appreciate your feedback and will share this with the team and discuss this at the next Admin meeting. I called this morning and was offered a face-to-face appointment in the early morning. The doctor saw me on time and was very thorough in her examination of my injury. This resulted in 3 referrals to various clinics and the necessary paperwork was made available promptly. The improvement in access to medical care at the surgery under the current regime is remarkable. The reception staff continue (as they always have been) to be helpful and friendly.

Had a review with GP to discuss Radiology reports. The GP was very reassuring. Gave the good news that there was no evidence of malignancy. The GP then was happy to go through the events of the last 6 weeks and discuss the plan for the next 2 weeks. There was no clock watching. It was all about me as the patient.
