I contacted the surgery because my mum's prescription had not been delivered. The Receptionist was extremely helpful in sorting out a new one and we were able to take it to the chemist within about 30 mins. of asking for it. She was calm, professional and very efficient. I think it is important to acknowledge excellent service and that's what we got!

Receptionist(s) are all polite, helpful and actually smile! A rarity in a GPs practice. The DR I saw was exceptional , menopause exists and they have truly recognised this! I am being listened to and understood...finally. Highly recommended (so much so 4 people have moved to them that I have recommended to) Thank you, and keep doing what you're doing!

Rang today for an appointment once again the receptionist says no appointments my husband suffers with high blood pressure all they say all the time is contact 111 why am I paying for a gp service when I never get it this doctors shud be a shamed of them selfs then advertise out side saying new patients welcome they cannot see the patients they have got they are never in says the reception what a joke

We are so sorry for your bad experience. To be clear I presume you wanted an immediate appointment. There are a limited number of these each day. You have to call from 8am. Once used up we direct you to Urgent Care or to call again tomorrow or to book a non-urgent appointment (which can be two or three weeks wait). Or you can call again the next day. You can also message us giving more details following the link from our website. For high blood pressure, regular reviews should occur with a HCA or nurse. If this has not occurred for some months you can ask to be booked for an update review. Where possible we also encourage having a home monitor to review yourselves. If you report a concerning reading we can advise accordingly. Failing that, do contact the practice directly to raise your concerns.

I am a patient of this surgery on recommendation. Very bright and clean, beautiful history of the building with pictures like in a museum! Beautiful and large aquarium very well maintained and a large bright corner for children in the waiting room. very nice atmosphere, ladies from the reception, nurses and doctors with specializations very helpful and nice! there is no problem to book an appointment with the doctor I want to see what I had a problem with in the previous center. I gladly recommend this Lostock Hall Medical Center to everyone!!

Virtually impossible to get a timely appointment, 4 - 6 weeks wait is the default. Delays in following up on test results. Not proactive in managing patients health - You need to chase everytime. Lost of time wasted in monitoring conditions and experimenting with different medication combinations. Still waiting for proper diagnosis of a medical condition 9 months after first seeking help for it. During covid my wife received a "We've been informed you have covid. How are you doing?" call several weeks after recovery.

Mr James. We are sorry for your bad experience. We have reached out to you in person and we will try meet your concerns. The standard that we set and meet most of the time despite increasing pressures is for routine appointments to be provided in less than 3 weeks. A limited number of on the day appointments are available for urgent cases with either a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner. In addition, we provide urgent appointments where appropriate resulting from tests or investigations that we have ordered.

Very nice customer service in the clinic and on the phone.Professional help in every case. I am very pleased and pleasantly surprised that there is such a possibility of contacting doctors in emergency cases.The waiting time for contact with a doctor is very short. I highly recommend this clinic. is worth recommending

Needed an appointment on a Monday which is one of the busiest days and the staff where very helpful and called me back within 30 mins and managed to help me and got ti see a GP

Since moving to the area I have used this doctor's for myself and my son several times for ongoing problems. I found all staff from reception to all 4 Doctors / practice nurse which we saw really helpful were willing to listen did not make us feel rushed and nothing was too much trouble. We were referred to appropriate specialists promptly and appointment came through quickly. The support and understanding of my son's situation was amazing and my own women's health and mental health support dealt with in an equally understanding and in a professional way advice was good helpful and explained clearly . I also witnessed patience and understanding with a couple who did not speak English as a first language and support for a young family filling in lots of forms this was done in a sensitive and supportive manner with explanations and assistance where needed .

: My daughter has had bloods since she was born due to having a under active thyroid. Every time has been traumatic. The first time having the done at the practice and not at home or hospital the nurse made her feel valued, and supported and relaxed. She let her take the bloods twice. I am so pleased with the support from booking by receptionist advice from the doctor to taking her bloods. Outstanding practice x

I visited in May 2023, a new patient, and never had such a positive experience of NHS healthcare. I was anxious to have a new contraception fitted, but the lead GP was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Totally allowed me to relax and get through with minimal anxiety. The appointment wasn’t rushed like most 10 minute GP appointments. Made all the difference. Thank you. Would highly recommend
