I am sorry to hear that your call happened outside of the time you were advised. Patients are usually advised to expect a call either in the morning or the afternoon clinic. I would be happy to look into this further if you would like to contact me at the surgery Kind regards Ruth Matthews Practice Patient Manager Loomer Medical Group

Im sorry you have not had a good experience on this occasion. The phone lines are very busy at 8am, and through the winter months we have seen the call volumes higher that we ever have. As we are now moving away from the winter months, we are noticing a huge difference with the call wait time, and that it is a shorter wait time. We continually monitor the call volume and are always looking at new ways we can reduce this. I would be more than happy to speak to you if you would like. You can do this by calling the surgery and asking for myself. Regards Ruth Matthews Practice Patient Manager Loomer Medical Group 0300 365 0002

Review titled Friendly and helpful
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I find the staff and Dr's to very friendly helpful and approachable. Although if you ring at 8am or 1pm there are likely to be long queues due to that being peak appointment booking times and I feel like there should be more staff on at this busy time as sometimes you call at 8 or 1 and by the time you get through appointments are then unavailable. Other than that a great practice.

Thank you for your taking the time to post our view. Our team do thrive on patient care and the priority is offering the most suitable and caring service we can. We agree that the call queue at 8am is long, and have recruited new call handlers specifically around the 8am start. We also monitor the call queue, the amount of patients waiting to be answered and also how long they have been in the queue, and add other members from other areas where required. Review titled Bad patient interaction
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Aldo Romeo - Posted on 17 November 2022
Tha queue is very long when booking appointments. Today I went for my appointment, forgot to check at reception ( my fault as the digital login is off line) sat there for 45 minutes and when I went to ask about my appointment my spot was given to someone else. The receptionists saw me there sitting all that time, surely with a bit of common sense on their part they could have asked what I was doing there. Good customer practice is required. The did offer a late appointment which I could not attend. I have several medical issues and find the waiting and lack of general care frustrating. I realise these are difficult time but how long can you blame Covid for? Now I have to ring again in the morning and wait through another long queue. This is the first time I have complained , but something is clear amiss with the practice.

I am sorry you had an unpleasant experience at the practice. I agree that good practice is that the reception team would notice someone sitting in the wating area for a long period of time and this should be addressed. The call queue can be high, especially first thing at 8am. Patient demand has increased dramatically and even more so over the winter months. We do monitor and discuss the call queue regularly and have recruited quite a few extra call handlers as well as putting other staff on the phones who would not normally answer calls. I would be more than happy to speak to you if you wish. Kindest regards Ruth Matthews Practice Patient Manager Loomer Medical Group 0300 365 0002
