Review titled Great staff dirty clinic
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 August 2024
With sadness I have to write this: all staff is great, very professional and treat you with dignity and respect. The cleanliness… was so shocked to wait in waiting area and the floors were mucky and the air was unbreathable, smelling urine??? Unacceptable

We are very delighted to hear that you find the staff are good, professional and treat you with dignity and respect. We are really surprised to hear that the floor in the waiting area was unclean when you attended. The floors are swept and mopped every evening after surgery and inspected in the mornings. We will clean if there are any reports that areas have become dirty during the day. This mustn’t have been reported to the reception desk on that day. We can only apologise, this isn’t the usual standard of infection control that we strive to achieve.

Review titled Waiting for 25minutes on a booked patch appointment
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2024
I booked an early morning appointment at my surgery so I do not have to make up time at work. It was very disappointing to wait 25minutes over my allocated time with no reason given to why. First 10mins over I asked reception if there were delays and she could not see any other than running late. After 20mins a nurse who cameout I asked if the Doctor was running late as I had been waiting 20minsover my time. The nurse stated she would pass message on. Then 5mins later the doctor called me and not on the way to the room or in the room no apology for my wait was acknowledged whatsoever. In fact I went to the appointment with a few things as I can never get morning or later apps. The doctor was curt in tone and stated the other thing I needed help with would need another app which was booked for me. I still awaited apology about my wait. none given. In the past if a patient is 10mins late apparently you cannot be seen however if a doctor runs over its okay and they don't even apologise or acknowledge this. Terrible.

We are very sorry that you had to wait 25 minutes to be seen, and no explanation was given. Sometimes Doctors appointments do run over if they have to deal with an unexpected emergency. We do our best to see patients at the appointment time allocated but they don't always know what they are going to have to deal with on the day. We agree that you should have been given an explanation and at least been told that there would be a delay. We will make sure that staff are aware. If you would like us to investigate this incident further please contact the practice via our complaints form on the website www.lingwellcroft.co.uk and we will be happy to look into it for you.

Review titled Avoid Avoid

For the same illness I have to see a different GP or an advanced nurse practitioner, if I'm lucky. I have to tell resption in front of all patients I'm bleeding from my bottom. Dignity means nothing to them.

We are sorry that you have been unhappy with our service. In order to offer appointments quickly to patients we offer an appointment with whoever is available, it isn't always possible to see the same GP/ANP each time. All clinicians have access to your medical records and can see what has previously been discussed. In relation to speaking to receptionists we are sorry that this wasn't treated confidentially; we have now put up a poster stating that if you wish to speak confidentially we can arrange to speak to you in a private room.
